Salesforce debuts new AI sales agents to enhance team efficiency

Salesforce introduces two AI sales agents, Einstein SDR and Sales Coach, to automate sales processes and provide personalised training, available from October 2024.

Salesforce, a leader in CRM solutions, has announced the launch of two innovative AI sales agents, the Einstein Sales Development Rep (SDR) Agent and the Einstein Sales Coach Agent, scheduled for release in October. These tools aim to revolutionise sales teams by automating interactions and delivering customised training environments.

Advancing lead management with Einstein SDR Agent

The Einstein SDR Agent introduces a groundbreaking approach to handling inbound leads. This agent utilises generative AI to autonomously interact with prospects, surpassing the capabilities of traditional chatbots limited to specific, programmed responses. It can independently analyse inquiries to deliver precise, personalised answers and is adept at scheduling meetings, resolving product queries, and overcoming objections. This automation allows sales personnel to focus more on meaningful customer interactions than initial lead management tasks.

The agent can also manage multiple leads simultaneously across different channels and in various languages, ensuring a seamless transition of well-qualified leads to human sales representatives. This efficiency enhances lead management and increases the likelihood of successful sales conversions.

Elevating sales skills with Einstein Sales Coach Agent

Concurrently, the Einstein Sales Coach Agent acts as a virtual mentor, empowering sales representatives to enhance their skills through AI-driven role-play scenarios. This agent performs as a prospective buyer in training sessions, offering realistic and relevant experiences for sellers. It leverages Salesforce’s extensive data integration to provide context-specific responses, assisting sellers in refining their pitches, addressing objections, and honing their negotiation skills.

Feedback from these sessions is generated using large language models that incorporate insights from various authoritative sources, ensuring that the coaching is objective and practical. This specialised training is crucial for sales teams striving to meet their quotas and improve their overall performance.

Harnessing AI for scalable growth

Salesforce has designed these AI agents to integrate seamlessly into existing systems using no-code solutions that reflect established sales practices. These AI tools are built to maintain data security and enrich customer interactions by making them more dynamic and engaging.

From a client perspective, Accenture has already started utilising these agents to expand their deal support and focus on more intricate transactions. “Accenture is committed to providing our sales practitioners with advanced technology and processes‌—‌fueled by AI, data, and insights‌—‌to drive more intelligent customer conversations and accelerate revenue,” said Sara Porter, Global Sales Excellence Lead at Accenture.

Salesforce’s executives are optimistic about the potential of these AI agents to reshape sales strategies. “We are excited about the potential of humans with AI to scale and close deals faster with this groundbreaking AI innovation to close deals with greater velocity and value,” said Sam Allen, EVP & Chief Pipeline Officer at Salesforce.

Upcoming enhancements and availability

Both the Einstein SDR Agent and the Einstein Sales Coach Agent will be generally available in October, with Salesforce planning to introduce additional features over the year. These enhancements will continue to improve the agents’ capabilities, ensuring they remain at the forefront of sales technology and support.
