StarHub and Mediacorp form strategic partnership to transform Singapore’s media landscape

StarHub and Mediacorp partner to expand content access, enhance ad solutions, and strengthen Singapore’s media landscape.

StarHub and Mediacorp have entered a strategic partnership aimed at redefining Singapore’s media and entertainment landscape. The collaboration, announced at a signing ceremony held at StarHub Green on 27 October 2025, will combine the strengths of two of Singapore’s leading media organisations to offer audiences and advertisers a more unified and engaging experience.

Expanding access to content

Under the agreement, Mediacorp will integrate StarHub TV+ content packages into its digital streaming platform, mewatch. This will allow users to access a broader selection of entertainment within a single platform. Viewers can now enjoy StarHub’s wide range of premium offerings directly through mewatch, including the Premier League, more than 7,000 hours of live sports such as racket sports, cricket, and golf, as well as a diverse collection of Asian dramas and television shows.

This move addresses growing audience fragmentation by offering a centralised destination for both local and international content. The partnership introduces flexible micro-packages and free subscription options, making premium entertainment more accessible to households across Singapore. By combining global blockbusters, live sports, and local storytelling, the two companies aim to enhance convenience and choice for audiences while fostering greater engagement.

Delivering greater value to advertisers

The collaboration also aims to deliver stronger outcomes for advertisers. With Mediacorp’s extensive audience reach and content ecosystem, coupled with StarHub’s video platforms and first-party data, brands will now benefit from precision-targeted live television ad insertion. This capability enables advertisers to deliver more relevant and personalised messages, improving campaign effectiveness in an increasingly fragmented media landscape.

Advertisers can also expect better integration across television, digital, and data-driven platforms. This will allow them to reach audiences across multiple touchpoints, maximising engagement while achieving measurable results. The combined capabilities of both companies position the partnership as a significant step forward in modernising Singapore’s advertising ecosystem.

Strengthening the local media ecosystem

StarHub Chief Executive Nikhil Eapen said the partnership reflects a shared vision to make media and technology work better for Singaporean audiences. “By joining forces with Mediacorp, we are bringing audiences the widest, most exciting portfolio of content. From global sporting spectacles to local favourites, in ways that are simple, flexible, and accessible. At the same time, we are unlocking new advertising solutions powered by data and precision, giving brands more impactful ways to connect. This partnership is not only about what we can achieve together today; it is about shaping the future of Singapore’s media landscape and building a stronger home-grown alternative in a highly competitive market,” he said.

Mediacorp Chief Executive Tham Loke Kheng described the collaboration as a milestone for the nation’s media industry. “By bringing StarHub and Mediacorp’s platforms together, we are creating greater value for audiences and advertisers alike. With our combined strengths, we will be able to deliver a richer entertainment experience to our audiences in Singapore, while advertisers will gain access to the most comprehensive suite of solutions across TV, digital, and data-driven platforms for the most effective campaign outcomes,” she said.

Looking ahead

Both companies reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Singapore’s media ecosystem and strengthening its position on the global stage. Through expanded content access, continued innovation, and support for local creative talent, the partnership seeks to create long-term value for audiences, advertisers, and the broader industry.
