ASUS Republic of Gamers announces Strix Scope wireless keyboards

Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe and Strix Scope NX Wireless Deluxe offer versatile tri-mode connectivity via wired USB, 2.4 GHz RF and Bluetooth

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announces Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe and Strix Scope NX Wireless Deluxe ― the first wireless keyboard offerings in the Strix Scope series. These latest models feature versatile tri-mode connectivity ― wired USB, 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth ― along with classic Strix Scope features such as the Quick Toggle function plus Stealth and extended Ctrl keys. Both keyboards feature ROG PBT doubleshot keycaps and exclusive ROG-developed switches designed to provide unmatched keystroke feel.

Tri-mode connectivity

Both Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless and NX Wireless Deluxe boast tri-mode connectivity, supporting 2.4 GHz RF mode, Bluetooth and wired USB. The 2.4 GHz RF mode offers up to 76 hours of stable, near-zero-latency gameplay, even with RGB lighting on. Meanwhile, Bluetooth connectivity allows the user to connect the keyboard to up to three devices at the same time and switch between them on the fly.

Exclusive ROG switches

The ROG Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe can be specified with ROG RX Red or RX Blue optical mechanical switches. ROG RX switches feature centralized RGB lighting for all-round in-key illumination, and ensure consistent wobble-free keystrokes with near-zero debounce delay.

The ROG Strix Scope NX Wireless Deluxe can be equipped with ROG NX Red, NX Blue or NX Brown switches. These switches offer faster actuation and have specially tuned force curves to provide gamers with great keystroke feel and feedback, allowing them to select a switch that best fits their playstyle and personal preference.

ROG NX Red and NX Brown switches have zero gap between actuation and reset points while NX Blue switches offer a near-zero 0.1 mm gap between the points. These enable steadier keystrokes than traditional mechanical switches for better gameplay. ROG NX mechanical switches exceed industry standards, offering a +/- 5 gf actuation force and +/- 0.4 mm travel distance to provide consistent keystrokes.

Tenkeyless design

The ROG Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe has a tenkeyless form factor that takes up minimal space on a desk, leaving more room for a gamer’s mousing hand; so it’s perfect for players who use low mouse-sensitivity settings for added precision. The compact design also makes it easier when it’s time to stow the keyboard into a backpack to take it to a LAN tournament.

User-centric features

The ROG PBT doubleshot keycaps used in Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe and NX Wireless Deluxe combine a unique and premium feel with long-lasting durability. Made via a precise doubleshot molding process, the translucent keycaps feature a seamless ROG script to provide consistent in-key lighting, and are resistant to keycap shine. Built-in sound dampening form improves acoustics by absorbing pinging noises and echoes inside the keyboard.

In addition, both keyboards include the essential features that have been the hallmark of the series, including the Quick Toggle, Stealth and extended Ctrl keys. The latter is twice as wide as a standard Ctrl key, so it’s easier to find while in the heat of battle. Tapping the Stealth key instantly hides all apps and mutes all audio for privacy, with a second tap restoring everything back to the way it was.

Lastly, the Quick Toggle function can be enabled by pressing the fn and Insert key together. This switches the top-row keys between function and media commands.
