AWS opens innovation hub in Singapore to drive cloud and AI adoption across Asia Pacific

AWS opens first Innovation Hub in Asia Pacific to accelerate digital transformation with cloud and AI for regional businesses.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched its first AWS Innovation Hub in Asia Pacific, located at its Singapore corporate office. The 8,000-square-foot facility is designed to accelerate digital and AI transformation for both public and private sector organisations across the region.

This multi-million-dollar facility offers C-suite leaders and business decision-makers an immersive experience showcasing more than 30 AWS and partner solutions across 50 real-world cloud use cases. It also provides tailored roadmaps using AWS’s proprietary Vision Builder tool, which is powered by Amazon Nova, a generative AI foundation model.

The AWS Innovation Hub is part of AWS’s broader investment in Singapore, which includes a commitment of US$9 billion into cloud infrastructure by 2028. Through the Hub, AWS aims to engage over 1,000 executives and 200 tertiary students from Singapore annually.

“The AWS Innovation Hub empowers our customers to convert big ideas into real business outcomes by combining our comprehensive cloud and AI technology, proven expertise from our network of over 140,000 partners worldwide, and Amazon’s unique culture of innovation,” said Jaime Vallés, Vice President, AWS Asia Pacific & Japan. “Here at the Hub, our customers can build practical roadmaps to solve the region’s most pressing challenges and opportunities in collaboration with AWS.”

The Hub complements AWS’s global innovation ecosystem, including the AWS Builders Studio in Melbourne, the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center, and the AWS Gen AI Lofts, which are currently scheduled to appear in Bengaluru and Osaka in 2025.

The Aspiration Zone introduces executives to emerging technologies such as quantum computing, virtual reality, and generative AI. In the Acceleration Zone, guests see how Amazon applies its innovation culture to business challenges, featuring AWS technologies like Graviton processors, Inferentia and Trainium chips, and AWS Outposts for edge computing.
