Canon’s Think Big series returns to help businesses build resilience in uncertain times

Canon’s Think Big Leadership Business Series returns on 22 and 23 October in Singapore to help companies build resilience amid global uncertainty.

Canon has announced the return of its annual Think Big Leadership Business Series in Singapore, offering guidance to companies grappling with global uncertainty and rapid technological change. Scheduled for 22 and 23 October at the Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, the two-day event will centre on the theme “Sailing Through a Sea of Uncertainty: Building a Resilience-Ready Toolkit to Thrive in an Unpredictable Future”.

The announcement comes as the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) warns of a weaker economic outlook for the rest of 2025, citing trade conflicts and geopolitical risks. Canon said the series aims to help organisations adapt to these pressures by fostering stronger agility and future-readiness.

Focus on technology and economic shifts

Co-organised with Mediacorp, the forum will bring together senior representatives from the Singapore Business Federation, AI Singapore, the Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME) and the National University of Singapore. Topics will include the economic effects of global trade tensions, the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) to raise productivity, and strategies to sustain growth in volatile conditions.

A dedicated Mandarin-language seminar will return, highlighting insights from industry leaders and academics on operating in today’s unpredictable economy. A session on the Singapore-Malaysia Special Economic Zone (SEZ) will also explore opportunities for growth and cross-border collaboration.

“2025 has been marked by unprecedented global uncertainty and rapid technological advancement, making resilience more crucial than ever for businesses across Asia,” said Norihiro (Nick) Katagiri, Senior Vice President, Regional Digital Printing and Business Solution Operations at Canon Singapore. “With a diverse lineup of speakers and a focus on actionable solutions, we believe this event will equip business leaders with the insights and tools needed to navigate the complexities of 2025 and emerge stronger for the future of work.”

Immersive showcase of practical solutions

The event will feature Canon’s signature technology showcase, an “AI City” built to demonstrate practical solutions for the evolving workplace. This interactive space will show how companies can use AI-driven innovations to improve efficiency, secure operations and adapt to changing market needs.

Key exhibits will include hybrid work tools such as AI noise cancellation and the Therefore Online platform for secure remote access and document approval. Visitors will also see Canon’s latest imageFORCE multifunction devices and the Antelope Generative AI solution for smarter document management. Other features will showcase AI-enabled access control, real-time demographic insights and smart sensors designed to enhance safety and facility management.

Andrew Koh, Senior Vice President and Head of Singapore Operations Group at Canon Singapore, said the event underlines Canon’s commitment to supporting business transformation. “Through our solutions showcase, we are providing the resources to help companies build resilience in their operations and drive long-term business growth. By marrying our technological innovations with insights from industry leaders, we can empower companies to not only survive but to truly thrive in an unpredictable future.”
