Deel launches new tools to simplify year-end planning and payroll

Deel unveils year-end upgrades featuring AI-driven tools to simplify payroll, compliance, and workforce planning for global teams.

Deel has announced a series of updates under its latest release, The Deel Drop: Fall Edition, aimed at helping HR and finance teams simplify year-end planning, automate payroll, and prepare for 2026 with greater efficiency. The October rollout brings several enhancements to support businesses managing the busiest period of the year, combining automation, structure, and AI-powered tools to streamline operations.

Smarter year-end planning

The new tools aim to help organisations align faster and plan with confidence during the critical year-end review period. Enhanced calibration features in performance reviews allow for more consistent and transparent compensation decisions, offering improved filtering, heatmaps, and tagging capabilities.

Deel has also introduced structured planning cycles that replace traditional spreadsheets with collaborative workflows and approval timelines. Teams can now use a scenario calculator to model headcount and cost changes within minutes, converting approved plans directly into job requests with a single click. Additionally, the integration of compensation bands allows HR and finance departments to unify pay and performance decisions within one system.

Faster and cleaner payroll processes

To help organisations close payroll faster and reduce manual intervention, Deel has introduced several new payroll management features. The Payroll Connect dashboard now consolidates multi-country payroll data into a single global view, offering improved visibility across regions.

A new payroll auto-submission feature ensures timely processing by automating payroll runs according to company policies. Other updates include prorated pay and bulk editing options to minimise manual errors, as well as the integration of benefits administration that allows open enrolment data to flow seamlessly into payroll systems for cleaner year-end reporting.

AI-powered compliance and operations

Deel’s global operations updates also focus on streamlining mobility and compliance while expanding its AI capabilities. The new Business Visas feature enables companies to manage short-term international work trips through built-in eligibility and application processes. The Entity Management System (EMS) consolidates filings, bylaws, and shareholder data to strengthen compliance management across global entities.

The company is also previewing Deel AI Teammates—specialised AI agents designed to automate routine HR and payroll tasks such as leave approvals, payroll audits, and compliance checks, while remaining under human control. For businesses with unique needs, Deel has added a Build Your Own Agent feature, enabling users to create no-code, custom AI agents tailored to specific company workflows.

Kobi Eldar, Head of Product for EOR and Payroll at Deel, said the updates were developed to give organisations the tools they need to handle complexity during a high-pressure period. “This release is about giving teams the infrastructure they need when it matters most,” said Eldar. “Whether you’re finalising comp plans, closing payroll across dozens of countries, or planning your 2026 workforce, these tools help you move faster, decide with confidence, and start the new year ahead.”
