Informatica launches agentic AI capabilities to support enterprise data management at scale

Informatica launches AI Agent Engineering, CLAIRE Agents, and CLAIRE Copilot to expand autonomous data management capabilities for enterprises.

In a major update, Informatica revealed the launch of AI Agent Engineering and CLAIRE Agents on its AI-powered Intelligent Data Management Cloud platform. The company also confirmed the general availability of CLAIRE Copilot for data integration and application integration. These additions expand Informatica’s existing AI capabilities, including CLAIRE GPT and generative AI blueprints, while positioning the company at the forefront of autonomous data management.

Chief Executive Officer Amit Walia said, “As the world of AI agents proliferates, the winners will be those who can connect, govern and manage agents at scale while providing enterprise-wide access to trusted data. With the launch of CLAIRE Agents and AI Agent Engineering, we are redefining what is possible in data management and AI orchestration.”

AI Agent Engineering supports multi-agent orchestration

At the core of the announcement is AI Agent Engineering, a no-code service designed to let organisations create and control intelligent AI workflows across multiple environments such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Salesforce and Snowflake. This offering aims to address the growing demand for data-driven automation, especially in hybrid ecosystems where siloed information remains a challenge.

The platform supports metadata-aware and context-intelligent operations, ensuring AI agents can function effectively using governed and trusted data. Enterprises can also tap into existing assets like mappings and business processes from Informatica’s platform, helping them accelerate deployment without rebuilding from scratch.

Expected to be generally available worldwide in autumn 2025, the service is designed for use by both technical and non-technical users, streamlining adoption across organisations. Early previews and partner engagement opportunities will be available at Informatica World in Las Vegas.

Desigan Reddi, Vice President of IT and Operations at Wescom Financial, described the new service as a “game-changer”, adding that the no-code platform enables both technical and business teams to “accelerate automation and drive real-time, data-driven decisions”.

CLAIRE Agents enhance autonomous data operations

Informatica also introduced CLAIRE Agents, a suite of autonomous assistants built to improve the way enterprises manage their data. These agents operate using advanced reasoning and planning models and are fully integrated into the Informatica cloud platform. They aim to take over repetitive or complex tasks such as data ingestion, data quality monitoring, and ELT pipeline automation.

Unlike static task-based tools, CLAIRE Agents adapt dynamically to the user’s context. This enables a more flexible and goal-oriented user experience, especially as organisations face increasing pressure from compliance regulations, governance requirements and the need for real-time insights.

Each agent offers specific capabilities, such as monitoring data quality across cloud and third-party systems, generating data lineage, managing ingestion pipelines, and automating ELT jobs across platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric. Other agents support data exploration, enrichment, and workflow modernisation.

Wout Vandegaer, Managing Director at Deloitte Consulting LLP, commented on the collaboration, saying, “Our joint clients can unlock the potential of AI agents with access to trusted data as the foundation for autonomous decision-making.”

CLAIRE Agents will be available in preview from autumn 2025.

CLAIRE Copilot now available for developers

Informatica also announced the general availability of CLAIRE Copilot for both data integration and cloud application integration. The Copilot uses generative AI technologies such as Azure OpenAI to help developers create, document, and improve data transformation and integration pipelines more efficiently. It aims to reduce the time needed to deliver solutions by automating complex development tasks.

This update comes as Informatica continues to enhance its platform’s ability to deliver secure, scalable and AI-driven data management tools for global enterprises.
