Kyndryl has unveiled advanced features for its Agentic AI Framework, designed to help enterprises accelerate artificial intelligence adoption and move beyond limited proof-of-concept projects. Announced on 1 October in Singapore, the updates combine new engineering capabilities with an innovative engagement methodology that shortens the time between AI design and deployment.
The enhanced framework enables organisations to integrate AI across core operations, increasing efficiency and supporting measurable business outcomes. Kyndryl is working with customers in sectors such as government, banking, insurance and manufacturing to co-create customised projects that rapidly deliver value.
Martin Schroeter, Kyndryl’s chairman and chief executive officer, said: “With decades of mission-critical infrastructure expertise, unique intellectual property and our AI consult methodology, Kyndryl is poised to lead our customers through this paradigm shift toward agentic AI. Our differentiated approach blends agents within complex environments and empowers organisations to scale AI throughout their operations as they move to become AI-native.”
Infrastructure-led design and deployment
The Agentic AI Framework builds on Kyndryl’s long history of managing mission-critical systems and integrates an infrastructure-first approach. This foundation allows the company to deploy secure, enterprise-grade AI agents that dynamically learn, adapt and deliver actionable insights.
A core feature of the framework is its agentic ingestion capability, which analyses customer data, code, policies and business objectives to design AI workflows aligned with organisational needs. These workflows include “guardian” controls to ensure compliance, security and transparency.
Kyndryl’s experts also help companies design a future workforce model where AI agents and employees work in tandem. The model identifies the human skills needed to achieve business results alongside automated systems. Using industry-specific reference architectures, the company’s agent builder can create, test and deploy AI agents capable of performing tasks such as coding, testing and automating complex processes while maintaining security and compliance standards.
Industry collaborations and ecosystem partnerships
Kyndryl is working closely with global partners and academic institutions to strengthen the AI ecosystem and prepare the next generation of AI professionals. Through alliances, the company is co-developing joint solutions that integrate AI into critical business operations and drive transformation.
Early use cases include an actuarial platform for the insurance sector that automates regulatory filings and compliance checks while providing real-time insights. In government, Kyndryl is building AI systems to connect and streamline processes across departments, improving services such as tax, licensing and immigration. In banking, the framework has been applied to client onboarding, cutting manual review times and improving the customer experience.
A growing portion of Kyndryl’s business is AI-focused, with around a quarter of its new signings including AI-related services such as data architecture, cloud and digital workplace solutions. The company says this trend reflects increasing enterprise demand for AI systems that deliver measurable impact.
