LG unveils new SKS branding for luxury kitchen suite at KBIS 2025

LG rebrands Signature Kitchen Suite to SKS at KBIS 2025, introducing new luxury appliances like a free-zone induction range and an advanced island system.

LG Electronics has announced a rebranding of its Signature Kitchen Suite to SKS, revealing the new identity at the 2025 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas, running from 27 to 29 February. This move marks a fresh chapter for LG’s high-end kitchen appliance brand, which has been a leader in the luxury built-in market since its launch in 2016.

With the shift to SKS, LG aims to refine the brand’s modern appeal while maintaining its focus on sophisticated design and cutting-edge technology. The new name is intended to better connect with a global audience and reinforce SKS’s status as a leader in premium kitchen solutions. The rebranding effort will be rolled out across all customer touchpoints, including retail stores and showrooms, with a third showroom set to open in the U.S.

SKS introduces innovative appliances at KBIS 2025

At KBIS 2025, LG is showcasing a series of next-generation SKS appliances designed to enhance the luxury kitchen experience. Among the highlights is the new 36-inch Cook-zone-free Induction Pro Range, which features the industry’s first free-zone cooking surface. This technology allows users to place cookware anywhere on the cooktop, providing unparalleled flexibility. The range is also equipped with an advanced convection system for fast and even cooking, steam technology to preserve meal quality, a built-in camera for real-time monitoring, and LG’s Gourmet AI for intelligent heating control.

Accompanying the Pro Range is a new SKS dishwasher, designed to seamlessly integrate with standard-depth cabinetry. The appliance aligns perfectly with the counter’s front edge, maintaining the sleek, uninterrupted aesthetic of high-end kitchen designs.

Another standout innovation is the SKS Island System, a revolutionary kitchen island concept that merges LG’s advanced cooking and ventilation technologies. This system features a hidden induction cooktop that blends seamlessly with the woodgrain countertop when not in use, along with a downdraft ventilation system powered by SKS’s proprietary air curtain technology for efficient smoke and steam removal. Built-in storage spaces around the ventilation system add to the island’s functionality, underscoring SKS’s commitment to personalised luxury.

A decade of innovation and excellence

Speaking on the brand’s evolution, Lyu Jae-Cheol, president of LG Home Appliance Solution Company, stated: “The new SKS represents the natural and ongoing evolution of our ultra-premium kitchen brand, celebrating a decade of excellence. By embracing our True to Food philosophy, SKS will continue to deliver differentiated kitchen solutions that enhance the customer experience and strengthen LG’s leadership in the high-end built-in market.”

With its focus on AI-driven convenience, advanced cooking technologies, and seamless integration into luxury kitchens, SKS is set to strengthen its presence in the built-in appliance market. Despite global economic challenges, the brand is committed to innovation and maintaining its position as a key player in the premium kitchen space.
