Samsung teams up with Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters for limited edition Galaxy themes

Samsung partners with Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters for a limited edition Galaxy theme pack available in select countries until 12 September 2025.

Samsung has partnered with Netflix to launch a special edition theme pack for Galaxy devices, inspired by the popular series KPop Demon Hunters. The collaboration brings exclusive HUNTR/X designs and character art to compatible Samsung smartphones.

Exclusive KPop Demon Hunters designs for Galaxy users

The new theme pack transforms various elements of Galaxy devices, including the lock screen, home screen, always-on display, phone screen, message screen and app icons. It features 11 designs based on the film’s aesthetic, along with a special package showcasing characters such as Rumi, Zoey, Jinu, Derpy and Susie.

Samsung’s KPop Demon Hunters theme set is available free of charge from 13 August 2025 at 10:00 AM local time until 12 September 2025 at 11:59 PM. However, the offer is currently limited to users in South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia and Türkiye.

The theme pack can be downloaded through the Netflix app, which is accessible via Samsung’s Galaxy Store. Users who do not already have the Netflix app installed will be prompted to download it before accessing the promotional page. Each verified download allows installation on up to 10 Galaxy devices running Android 15 (One UI 7) or Android 16 (One UI 8).

Availability and compatibility

While the collaboration is generating excitement in participating regions, it is not yet confirmed whether Singapore will receive official access to the theme pack. Some fans may attempt to use location spoofing to obtain it, although this is not an official method supported by Samsung.

Samsung has a history of releasing themed or special edition products, but availability varies widely by market. Previous collaborations have included brands such as Star Wars, Marimekko, Starbucks and Doraemon. The company has also produced novelty items, such as earbud cases styled after its twin celebrity pandas, which were housed in a Samsung-owned theme park in Seoul.

Samsung’s history with special editions

Despite Singapore’s role as an international trade hub, many of Samsung’s themed releases never reach the local market. Exceptions have included the Thom Browne collection and retro Y2K accessories featuring brands such as Paul Frank and MILO.

One of Samsung’s most notable collaborations was the BTS Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S20+, which was available in Singapore. The overwhelming popularity of that release may partly explain the slower pace of special edition launches in the region since then.

Samsung’s latest partnership with Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters reflects its continued interest in blending pop culture with mobile technology. For fans in eligible countries, the limited-time release offers a unique way to personalise their devices while celebrating the series.
