Stellar Blade is coming to PC on June 12 with new features and content for both platforms

Stellar Blade will be released for PC on June 12, with new content and PC-only features, plus a free update for PlayStation 5 players.

If you’ve been waiting to play Stellar Blade on your PC, your chance is almost here. The popular action-adventure game from Korean developer Shift Up, previously only available on PlayStation 5, is finally getting a PC release. Mark your calendar for June 12, when the new version launches with a range of PC-specific upgrades and extra content that will be shared with PS5 players for free.

This triple-A title made a splash when it came out last year, thanks to its stunning visuals, engaging combat, and post-apocalyptic setting. With the move to PC, you’ll now enjoy improved graphics, better frame rates, and extra features tailored for desktop gaming.

PC version comes with upgraded visuals and flexible controls

The PC port of Stellar Blade has been built to fully take advantage of today’s gaming hardware. It supports both NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, AI-based tools that boost performance by increasing frame rates without sacrificing image quality. Shift Up says that, with the right setup, you could get up to three times the original frame rate when using features like Multi Frame Generation.

The game will support 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios for those with an ultrawide monitor, giving you a wider field of view. You’ll also be able to use high-resolution 4K textures, making the game’s world even more immersive.

Controls have been fine-tuned for PC as well. While the PlayStation DualSense controller will still work if plugged in via USB, you’ll also be able to fully customise your controls, whether you’re using a gamepad, keyboard, or mouse.

New boss fight and 25 costumes coming to all players

Whether playing on PC or PS5, you’ll get some exciting new content. The PC launch will include a brand-new boss fight and 25 additional costumes, which will also be released as a free update for PS5 users. So even if you already own the game on console, there’s something new to look forward to.

One detail that’s stirred some conversation is the use of Denuvo DRM in the PC version. This digital rights management tool is designed to help protect against piracy. Some gamers worry that Denuvo can slow down performance, but Shift Up has reassured players on Twitter that this won’t be an issue.

Pricing, editions and global availability

You can pre-order Stellar Blade for PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, with some pre-order bonuses available. Two editions will be offered:

  • Standard Edition: S$79.90
  • Complete Edition: S$109.90

The Complete Edition includes exclusive outfits, extra in-game currency, and a Twin Expansion Pack featuring special content inspired by NieR: Automata and Goddess of Victory: Nikke.

However, remember that the PC version might not be available everywhere. According to a report by Wccftech, the game is currently blocked in 130 countries, mostly those without PlayStation Network (PSN) access. Shift Up has said they were unaware of this issue until it was reported, and Sony has not made any official comment.

For now, if you’re in a supported region, you can enjoy the enhanced version of Stellar Blade starting June 12—whether playing it for the first time or diving back in for the new content.
