AMD has expanded its processor lineup with the global launch of the Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F, enhancing the Ryzen 8000G family with new models that lack integrated graphics. These processors are tailored for efficient performance, featuring low power consumption and capabilities for enhanced overclocking at the push of a button.

Advanced features and performance

The Ryzen 7 8700F is notably equipped with a state-of-the-art Neural Processing Unit (NPU), designed to boost AI efficiency, marking a significant advancement in processing technology. Both models continue to provide the robust performance expected from AMD’s processors.

Key specifications and availability

For detailed specifications, the Ryzen 7 8700F features 8 cores and 16 threads, reaching boost speeds of up to 5.0GHz and a base frequency of 4.1Ghz. It also includes a total cache of 24MB and comes with the Wraith Stealth cooler. This model supports a TDP of 65W and includes an NPU, with a suggested retail price of US$269.

On the other hand, the Ryzen 5 8400F has 6 cores and 12 threads, with boost speeds up to 4.7GHz and a base frequency of 4.2GHz. It has a total cache of 22MB and is also paired with the Wraith Stealth cooler, supporting a TDP of 65W. This model is available at a retail price of US$169.

Both processors are designed for users seeking a superior 1080p gaming experience, and they accommodate future upgrades with a discrete graphics card. The 8000G Series is particularly renowned for having the fastest built-in graphics in its class, featuring the power of Radeon 700M technology. This ensures not only top-notch visual fidelity but also a seamless gaming experience at competitive price points and in compact PC builds.

As of today, the new Ryzen processors are available for purchase through various channels, including e-tailers, retailers, and system integrators globally.
