ASUS launches ROG GR70 gaming mini PC powered by AMD Ryzen 9 and NVIDIA RTX 50 Series

ASUS ROG launches the GR70 gaming mini PC with AMD Ryzen 9, NVIDIA RTX 50 Series GPUs, WiFi 7, and advanced cooling for high performance.

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled the ROG GR70, its first gaming mini PC powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 CPU. The new compact powerhouse is designed to deliver desktop-class gaming performance, combining cutting-edge components, advanced cooling, and the latest wireless technology in a sleek, small form factor.

Built for high performance

At the heart of the GR70 is the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor, built on the Zen 5 architecture. Featuring 16 cores and 32 threads, the chip is engineered to handle intensive gaming and multitasking workloads. It is enhanced by second-generation AMD 3D V-Cache technology, which uses a 3D stacking design to deliver higher boost clocks and faster base speeds. This setup allows smoother frame rates and detailed rendering, even at lower resolutions.

Complementing the CPU, the GR70 is equipped with either the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 or RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. Built on the Blackwell architecture, these GPUs provide improved ray tracing capabilities and introduce DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. This AI-driven feature boosts performance by generating additional frames per rendered frame, ensuring fluid visuals and faster response times.

Together, the Ryzen 9 CPU and RTX 50 Series GPU enable the GR70 to deliver top-tier performance in a sub-three-litre chassis, appealing to gamers and creators seeking maximum power in a compact device.

Advanced connectivity and cooling

The GR70 features WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for next-generation connectivity, enabling faster data transfers and reduced latency. WiFi 7’s Multi-Link Operation technology ensures stable connections and faster download speeds, ideal for large game patches or high-resolution streaming.

It also comes with eight USB ports, supporting up to five 4K displays and multiple peripherals such as external drives and accessories, making it a versatile choice for gamers and creators alike.

To maintain performance during demanding sessions, the GR70 uses ROG QuietFlow cooling technology. The triple-fan system and heatpipe design help regulate temperature while keeping noise levels low, reportedly under 4.5dB(A) even during heavy workloads. This ensures quiet operation without compromising performance or stability.

Designed for flexibility and ease of use

ROG has also focused on user accessibility. The GR70’s toolless design allows users to upgrade components easily. A single thumbscrew opens access to internal parts, and the Q-Latch system simplifies SSD installation. The system supports up to 96GB of dual-channel DDR5 memory, catering to those who demand more from their hardware.

Aesthetically, the GR70 features a modern, angular design with a white-silver ROG lightbar, giving it a futuristic appearance that complements high-end gaming setups.

Gamers can fine-tune performance through ROG Armoury Crate software, which offers real-time hardware monitoring, fan controls, and access to driver updates. It also provides overclocking profiles for popular games, allowing players to optimise performance instantly.

Availability

The ASUS ROG GR70 gaming mini PC will be available in Singapore from end January 2026. The model featuring the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD running Windows 11 Pro is priced at S$3,699.
