ASUS Republic of Gamers unveils ultra-light ROG Harpe Ace Extreme gaming mouse

ASUS ROG releases the ultra-light 47g Harpe Ace Extreme gaming mouse with carbon fibre design, professional-grade control, and an 8000Hz polling rate.

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the release of its latest gaming mouse, the ROG Harpe Ace Extreme. This new mouse, weighing just 47 grams, is designed to provide gamers with top-level precision and control. Featuring a sleek carbon fibre shell, the Harpe Ace Extreme offers both durability and a lightweight build, making it ideal for gamers who need fast, responsive gameplay. Co-developed with professional gamers, this mouse is particularly suited for those who use a claw grip, offering excellent stability for flicking and tracking movements.

Packed with advanced technology, the mouse includes the ROG Polling Rate Booster, now supporting a true 8000Hz polling rate delivering ultralow delays for supersmooth cursor movement. This feature can also be purchased separately and used with other ROG mice and keyboards. With a combination of premium materials, cutting-edge components, and esports-grade design, the Harpe Ace Extreme is built to deliver high-end gaming experiences.

Carbon fibre design

The standout feature of the ROG Harpe Ace Extreme is its carbon fibre construction. ASUS has opted for carbon fibre to achieve an ultra-lightweight design while maintaining durability and a polished aesthetic. The ultralightweight 47-gram design with carbon fibre shell offers unmatched durability and aesthetics. The shell is carefully crafted through an eight-stage manufacturing process to ensure both strength and beauty, making each mouse unique.

This attention to detail extends to the mouse buttons as well, with each button cut from individual carbon fibre pieces. This ensures the mouse maintains a consistent tactile feel, offering users the same responsive click action expected from high-end gaming gear.

Stability, control, and performance

ASUS has worked closely with professional esports players to fine-tune the Harpe Ace Extreme’s shape. Its design focuses on enhancing stability and control, especially during rapid movements. The slightly elevated spine at the back of the mouse provides extra support to the user’s palm, making it ideal for extended gaming sessions.

The mouse was co-developed, tested, and approved by FPS pros, providing better control for gamers who are accustomed to playing with a claw grip.

Underneath, the mouse is powered by the ROG AimPoint Pro optical sensor, which delivers pinpoint precision with a 42,000 DPI rating. The sensor can even track movement on glass, allowing users to game on almost any surface. The Harpe Ace Extreme also features ROG Optical Micro Switches, which are designed to offer fast, accurate clicks and have a lifespan of up to 100 million clicks.

For wireless gamers, the ROG SpeedNova wireless technology ensures seamless performance by reducing signal interference and maintaining a stable connection. The technology is designed to function reliably even in areas with heavy RF signal interference from other wireless devices.

Premium accessories and features

The Harpe Ace Extreme comes with several premium accessories to enhance the gaming experience. Included with the mouse are Corning Gorilla Glass mouse feet, which are designed for smoother movement on cloth mousepads. The mouse also comes with a hard-shell carrying case for easy portability and protection.

The ROG Polling Rate Booster, included with the mouse, is another feature that sets it apart. When combined with ROG SpeedNova wireless technology, it delivers data input at a true 8000Hz polling rate to deliver the lowest-possible delay. This booster is compatible with a wide range of ROG mice and keyboards, such as the Harpe Ace Mini and Keris II Ace, as well as the ROG Azoth Extreme and Strix Scope II 96 RX Wireless keyboards. The ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Extreme will be priced at S$399.
