ASUS unveils NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards

ASUS launches NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards with advanced cooling, AI tools, and powerful design for gamers and creators.

ASUS has announced its latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards, promising a new era of gaming and creative performance. The lineup includes models from the ROG Astral, TUF Gaming, and ASUS Prime families, offering advanced cooling, enhanced thermal management, and innovative design features.

The new graphics cards, powered by NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, aim to deliver exceptional AI-powered performance, enabling gamers and creators to push boundaries. NVIDIA DLSS 4 enhances graphics and performance, while NVIDIA Studio tools cater to creative professionals. The RTX 50 series also supports NVIDIA NIM microservices, which allow users to create AI assistants and workflows with peak efficiency.

ROG Astral leads the way with innovation and design

The ROG Astral series, a standout in the lineup, introduces ASUS’s first quad-fan graphics cards, including the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 models. With up to 20% improved airflow compared to traditional three-fan designs, these cards ensure better cooling and higher clock speeds. The inclusion of a premium phase-change GPU thermal pad further optimises heat transfer and prolongs the card’s lifespan.

Built for overclocking and demanding workloads, the ROG Astral cards feature powerful 80-amp MOSFETs, providing over 35% additional headroom compared to standard designs. Protective PCB coatings guard against moisture and dust, ensuring long-lasting performance.

The series also includes the ROG Astral LC GeForce RTX 5090 for liquid cooling enthusiasts. Its advanced 360mm radiator delivers 30% better thermal performance, making it an excellent option for quiet yet powerful systems.

Key features of the ROG Astral series include:

  • GPU Tweak III support, including tools like Power Detector+ and a Thermal Map of the PCB.
  • Dual BIOS for switching between performance and quiet modes.
  • A robust metal frame with a futuristic design inspired by starships.

The lineup offers both standard and overclocked editions, ensuring options for various performance needs.

TUF Gaming and ASUS Prime expand the range

Complementing the ROG Astral series are the TUF Gaming and ASUS Prime graphics cards, catering to a broader audience. The TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 models provide military-grade durability with components like TUF 5K black metallic capacitors and certified chokes. These cards also include phase-change thermal pads and protective coatings.

ASUS Prime cards focus on affordability without compromising performance. Featuring tri-fan cooling and a slim 2.5-slot design, they offer broad compatibility for compact builds. The ASUS Prime GeForce RTX 5080, for instance, includes a vapor chamber for consistent thermal management.

Both families ensure users can benefit from high performance at various price points.

Seamless integration with ASUS accessories and AI tools

The new graphics cards are designed to pair with ASUS ROG Thor III and ROG Strix Platinum power supplies, which support the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.0 standards. These PSUs include a GPU-First intelligent voltage stabiliser and GaN MOSFETs, ensuring efficient power delivery for smooth gaming experiences.

Additionally, ASUS MuseTree, an AI-powered image generation app, is fully compatible with the RTX 50 series. This intuitive tool simplifies the creation of stunning visuals, making it an asset for both gamers and creators.
