Casio announced the release of their Gundam 40th Anniversary G-Shock series. The four-watch series will each be modeled after a different Gundam and made available on Casio’s Taobao website in early March.

The Gundam franchise was introduced in 1979 with the Mobile Suit Gundam television series and later expanded into manga, film, and video games. Gundam is also very well known around the world for its “Gunpla” plastic models and currently ranks at number 14 in a list of the highest-grossing media franchises.

Each G-Shock watch comes in an exclusive collectible box and includes a plastic case that resembles Haro the robot mascot (except for the MS-065 Char’s Zaku II version whose case resembles its head).
