Denodo introduces DeepQuery to boost enterprise AI with real-time, explainable insights

Denodo launches DeepQuery to enable explainable, real-time AI insights from enterprise data, now available in private preview.

Denodo has unveiled plans to expand its AI innovation portfolio with the launch of Denodo DeepQuery, a deep research capability designed to tackle complex business questions using real-time, governed enterprise data. Currently available in private preview, DeepQuery will be included in the Denodo AI SDK and made generally available soon.

The company also announced new support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), reinforcing its position as a leader in logical data management. The update allows AI agents and applications built on Denodo’s platform to integrate more easily with any MCP-compliant system.

Enabling deeper enterprise analysis with AI

Unlike conventional generative AI tools that typically retrieve or rephrase existing content, Denodo’s DeepQuery is built to interpret and explain open-ended questions using a deep research approach. By connecting to live, structured data from across various internal systems, as well as external sources such as public data and trading partner systems, DeepQuery can deliver contextualised, explainable answers.

The capability allows users to ask complex, cross-functional questions that would otherwise take analysts days to resolve. For example, users can pose questions such as “Why did fund outflows spike last quarter?” or “What’s driving changes in customer retention across regions?” Instead of relying on manual data exports and reporting, DeepQuery automates this analysis and generates clear responses in minutes.

Stewart Bond, Research VP of Data Intelligence and Integration Software at IDC, noted: “With DeepQuery, Denodo is demonstrating forward-thinking in advancing the capabilities of AI. DeepQuery, driven by deep research advances, will deliver more accurate AI responses that will also be fully explainable.”

Designed for integration and extensibility

Denodo DeepQuery is packaged with the Denodo AI SDK, which includes pre-built APIs to simplify the development of AI applications. Developers and AI teams can build and embed these research capabilities into their own tools, agents, or domain-specific platforms, making it easier to integrate advanced reasoning into existing workflows.

The DeepQuery engine is powered by Denodo’s logical data management platform, which relies on a strong data virtualisation foundation. This enables real-time access to structured and governed data across a wide range of enterprise systems. While other vendors focus on deep research using public web content or document-based sources, Denodo’s solution is distinct in that it grounds its AI in enterprise data.

Encora’s Senior Vice President of Data and Analytics, Nagaraj Sastry, commented: “Denodo DeepQuery gives us exactly that. Its ability to leverage real-time, governed enterprise data for deep, contextualised insights sets it apart. This means we can help our customers move beyond general AI queries to truly intelligent analysis, empowering them to make faster, more informed decisions and accelerating their AI journey.”

Advancing AI standards and context awareness

Alongside DeepQuery, Denodo has also introduced support for the Model Context Protocol. The latest version of the Denodo AI SDK includes an MCP server implementation, enabling compatibility with any MCP-compliant clients. This strengthens Denodo’s offering as a foundation for agentic AI ecosystems built on open standards.

Angel Viña, CEO and Founder of Denodo, said: “AI’s true potential in the enterprise lies not just in generating responses, but in understanding the full context behind them. With DeepQuery, we’re unlocking that potential by combining generative AI with real-time, governed access to the entire corporate data ecosystem, no matter where that data resides.”

DeepQuery is currently accessible through Denodo’s AI Accelerator Program, which invites selected organisations to test the capabilities and collaborate with the product team to shape future developments.
