DXC Technology and Accelya team up to enhance airline systems and traveller experience

DXC Technology and Accelya partner to modernise airline systems, enhancing customer experience with innovative, integrated solutions for the airline industry.

DXC Technology and Accelya have announced a strategic partnership to support airlines in modernising their systems and improving customer experience. By combining DXC’s expertise in technology integration with Accelya’s deep knowledge of airline solutions, this collaboration is set to streamline airline operations and introduce innovative, customer-focused offerings worldwide.

Accelya plans to leverage DXC’s Departure Control Systems (DCS) to enhance its FLX ONE retailing platform, which manages flight inventory and seat bookings and generates over 30 billion offers globally each day. The collaboration will create a seamless airport retail experience, providing travellers with a smoother journey from booking to boarding.

“FLX ONE is a proven, future-ready platform that gives airlines complete control over their retailing — from booking to boarding — delivering a seamless experience,” said Sam Gilliland, CEO of Accelya. “The addition of FLX Delivery, powered by DXC’s airport technology, makes FLX ONE a truly comprehensive OOSD solution and a genuine alternative to legacy systems.”

FLX ONE platform transforms airline operations

The FLX ONE platform is designed to support airlines at every stage of the customer journey, covering each phase of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Offers, Orders, Settle & Delivery (OOSD) process. Integrating Accelya’s Offer, Order, Settle technology with DXC’s airport systems, the platform aims to revolutionise ticketing, order management, reservations, and customer service for airlines. With this streamlined approach, airlines can reduce operational costs while delivering tailored offers to passengers.

Through the FLX ONE platform, airlines can manage ticketing and reservations on their own systems, simplifying processes and enhancing efficiency. By minimising overheads, the platform supports revenue growth through personalised offers that expand the retailing potential of airlines. The collaboration will also establish DXC as Accelya’s preferred systems integrator, accelerating modernisation efforts and supporting Accelya’s ongoing product development.

Enhanced customer experience through advanced integration

Chris Drumgoole, Managing Director for DXC’s Global Infrastructure Services, highlighted the partnership’s potential to introduce transformative technology to airline operations and elevate customer experiences. “DXC partners with the world’s leading airlines to deliver seamless experiences and leverage transformational technology like AI across their business operations,” Drumgoole said. “Our new partnership with Accelya will bring tremendous value to airlines that want to continue to modernise their systems while elevating the customer experience and increasing return on investment.”

The collaboration reaffirms both companies’ commitment to driving innovation in the airline industry. As airlines seek to stay competitive by delivering exceptional customer service, this partnership provides a valuable tool for transforming operations. DXC and Accelya’s combined expertise will allow airlines to adopt state-of-the-art retail solutions, setting the stage for future advancements in airline services.

Accelya, which has been a pioneer in airline retailing for 40 years and supports over 200 airlines globally, will continue to provide a fully integrated retail process for airlines—from booking and check-in to final settlement. This approach aims to simplify airline operations and strengthen customer engagement.
