AFA Creators Super Fest returns to Singapore at new venue in August

AFA Creators Super Fest returns to Singapore on 2–3 August at Suntec, featuring Japanese artists, cosplay stars and indie performances.

AFA Creators Super Fest will return to Singapore on 2 and 3 August 2025, moving to a new venue at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organised by SOZO, the event marks the third Singapore edition of the regional community-focused festival, which brings together artists, creators, cosplayers and performers from across Southeast Asia and Japan.

Spread across three exhibition halls, this year’s festival will feature a larger Creators Hub and Fashion Hub, along with live entertainment, signing sessions, meet-and-greet opportunities, and hands-on creative workshops.

Highlights include Japanese artists and debut performances

The 2025 edition will spotlight Japanese illustrator tamimoon, known for her fashionable female character drawings that went viral on social media after she began posting in 2020. With more than 400,000 followers, tamimoon has previously taken part in Asia Creators Cross, an artist exchange programme between Japan’s Niconico Chokaigi and AFA events in the region. At the festival, her artwork will be showcased in a dedicated exhibition, and fans can join a special signing session with her, subject to a minimum purchase of merchandise from AFASHOP.

Japanese rapper Lotus Juice will perform live in Singapore for the first time. Known for blending 1990s hip-hop, J-pop, dub and rock, he is recognised for his contributions to anime and game music soundtracks. Indie band Haku., a four-piece group from Osaka, will also make its Singapore debut with a performance led by lead singer Ai, whose sound is shaped by British and American indie pop influences.

Two rising idol groups are set to appear as well. SAKURADOLL, who held their debut live show in Japan in January 2025 and previously toured in the Philippines and Taiwan, will bring their anime-inspired style and energy to Singapore. Meanwhile, Lollipop!!!!!!!, a seven-member idol group known for their upbeat and fun performances, will aim to deliver what they call “the sweetest time together” for fans.

Cosplay community and competitions take centre stage

This year’s Cosplay Hub will again host some of the top cosplay personalities from the region. Singapore-based Xiaoyu, who started cosplaying in 2017 and now has over 1.4 million followers worldwide, will appear at the event. She has worked with many well-known ACG-related brands and often appears as a guest at international conventions.

Also featured is Chinese cosplayer Weian Vann, whose elaborate designs often blend elegance with horror elements for visual impact.

Several returning and first-time guest cosplayers will also appear, including Kiyo, YingTze, and Yukari, with more names to be confirmed. Visitors will be able to meet their favourite personalities, purchase exclusive merchandise, and connect with fellow fans.

The Cosplay Singles Competition will return this year as well. Participants will showcase their costume-making and performance abilities to compete for cash prizes: S$500 for the winner, S$300 for second place, and S$200 for third. Sign-ups are now open.

Beyond performances and meetups, the Creators Lab will offer a series of workshops, live demonstrations, and panel discussions across digital art, photography, fashion, crafting and more. Registration is now open for creators who wish to host a session.

The Featured Creators segment will highlight outstanding regional artists with a distinct creative vision. This year’s lineup includes Erikartoon, Miyukiko and Nestvirgo, with more names to be revealed closer to the event.

All ticket holders will have access to the Creators Hub, Cosplay Hub, Fashion Hub, Creators Lab, and Super Akiba Stage performances. Tickets are now on sale starting at S$20, available at https://animefestival.asia/csf2025/ticketing.
