GigaDevice opens new Tokyo office to strengthen Japan presence and global collaboration

GigaDevice opens a new Tokyo office to strengthen local services, deepen collaboration, and drive innovation in Japan’s semiconductor market.

GigaDevice, a global semiconductor company known for its Flash memory, 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs), sensors, and analogue products, has opened a new office in Minato City, Tokyo. The expansion underlines the company’s growing commitment to the Japanese market and marks a key step in enhancing local customer support, strengthening regional partnerships, and advancing global development efforts.

Japan has long been a strategic market for GigaDevice and a vital pillar of its international growth plans. Over the years, the company has steadily increased its local presence, building a professional service network tailored to evolving customer needs. The new Tokyo office aims to further improve GigaDevice’s technical responsiveness and agility, enable closer collaboration with local customers, and accelerate product validation and commercialisation in a rapidly changing market environment.

Strengthening collaboration across key sectors

GigaDevice’s solutions are already widely adopted across industrial, automotive, consumer electronics, and Internet of Things applications in Japan. The company has also been deepening cooperation with local partners in supply chain integration and ecosystem development, delivering a comprehensive portfolio of Flash memory, MCU, sensor, and analogue solutions that have gained strong market recognition.

“Japan has always been a vital component of our global strategy,” said Jennifer Zhao, GigaDevice Global Business CEO. “We will continue to leverage our global synergy and strengthen local service capabilities to drive product innovation and industry advancement alongside our customers and partners.”

Sam Li, GigaDevice Japan Regional GM, highlighted the company’s focus on delivering value in an increasingly competitive market. “We greatly value the trust and long-term partnerships we have built with our customers in Japan,” he said. “In a market that’s becoming increasingly complex, our goal is to consistently deliver exceptional service and competitive products that meet diverse business needs and create lasting value.”

Building trusted partnerships in Japan

GigaDevice’s commitment to Japan is reflected in its partnerships with major local companies, including Nidec Corporation. “GigaDevice’s rapid growth and technological innovation, along with its genuine commitment to customers, have built a solid foundation of trust between our companies and made it one of our most valued supplier partners,” said Ryuji Omura, Head of Nidec Semiconductor Solutions Center. “We look forward to seeing GigaDevice continue to lead the semiconductor industry and contribute to the advancement of society.”

The new office represents more than just an operational expansion. It signals GigaDevice’s intention to work more closely with customers and partners to co-develop solutions that address Japan’s evolving technology needs, particularly as industries transition towards smarter and more connected systems.

Global expansion with local execution

As one of the world’s leading fabless semiconductor suppliers, GigaDevice combines global synergy with strong local execution. Following the establishment of its global headquarters in Singapore, the company has expanded its presence across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. It has built a demand-driven sales and service network designed to respond quickly to customer needs and market shifts.

Looking ahead, GigaDevice plans to continue investing in Japan by refining its product portfolio, enhancing service delivery, and expanding collaborative initiatives. Through these efforts, the company aims to support innovation across industries and contribute to a more efficient, sustainable, and intelligent future together with its customers and partners.
