Samsung’s 2026 monitor range splits between gaming speed and work productivity
Samsung’s 2026 monitors add OLED, 5K, WUHD and dual-mode options for gaming, productivity and multi-device workflows in Singapore.
As monitor buyers face a wider split between gaming performance, creator workloads, and desk-based productivity, Samsung’s 2026 line-up is aimed less at one-screen-fits-all use and more at matching display choices to specific needs.

The new Odyssey and ViewFinity monitors, now available in Singapore, cover high-refresh gaming, OLED contrast, 5K resolution, large-format productivity, and multi-device workflows. The range includes three Odyssey gaming models and two ViewFinity S8 models, with pricing from S$1,288 to S$2,588.
Gaming monitors move further into specialised choices
Samsung’s Odyssey range is split across three main gaming priorities. The Odyssey OLED G8 targets players who want 4K OLED visuals with fast response times, while the Odyssey OLED G7 is designed for users who want to switch between higher resolution and higher refresh rates. The Odyssey G8 adds a 5K option for those who want sharper visuals without moving into OLED.
The Odyssey OLED G8 is available in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes. It uses QD-OLED display technology, supports 4K resolution, and offers a 240Hz refresh rate with a 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time. It also includes AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification, which are relevant for fast-paced games where motion handling and dark-scene visibility can affect the experience.
Samsung has also included its OLED Safeguard+ system on the Odyssey OLED G8. The feature set combines heat management, brightness adjustment for static screen elements, and a screen saver that dims the display after 10 minutes of inactivity. These additions address one of the practical concerns around OLED monitors, where long gaming or desktop sessions can leave static interface elements on-screen for extended periods.
The 32-inch Odyssey OLED G7 takes a more flexible route. Its Dual Mode allows users to switch between 4K UHD at 165Hz and Full HD at 330Hz. That makes it better suited to players who alternate between visually detailed games and faster competitive titles, rather than committing to one display setting for all use cases.
Samsung’s 27-inch Odyssey G8 uses a Fast IPS panel and offers 5K resolution at up to 180Hz, or QHD at up to 360Hz. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, giving users a higher-resolution gaming option outside the OLED models.
ViewFinity targets desk setups with more devices and larger workloads
The ViewFinity S8 models address a different problem. For professionals working across multiple devices, data-heavy screens, or content creation tasks, the monitor is becoming part of the workflow rather than a passive display.
Both ViewFinity S8 models support Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture, allowing users to view content from more than one input source at the same time. They also include a built-in KVM switch, which lets two connected sources share one keyboard and mouse. These features are more relevant to multi-device desks, where users may move between a laptop, desktop, or secondary system during the same workday.
The 40-inch ViewFinity S8 S85TH is the larger productivity option. It uses a curved WUHD display that provides about 1.3 times more screen space than standard 4K, with support for HDR10+, 1.07 billion colours, a 1000R curvature, and a 144Hz refresh rate. It also includes Thunderbolt 5, with up to 80Gbps data transfer, up to 140W power delivery, and Daisy Chain support for multi-monitor setups.
The 27-inch ViewFinity S8 S80HF is built around precision and detail. Its 5K display is aimed at design, content creation, and text-heavy work, with HDR10 support, up to 1.07 billion colours, USB-C connectivity with up to 90W power delivery, and a built-in LAN port.
Samsung has also added ergonomic and eye-care features across the ViewFinity models, including height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment, Eye Saver Mode, and Flicker Free technology. The models contain at least 14% recycled materials and meet TCO 10.0 and Energy Star 8.0 certifications, while the 40-inch ViewFinity S8 S85TH also carries EPEAT Gold certification.
