Sennheiser unveils Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds at CES 2024

Sennheiser's Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds launched at CES 2024, featuring superior sound, advanced connectivity, and a sleek new design.

The much-anticipated CES 2024 saw Sennheiser, a leader in audio innovation, revealing their latest creation – the Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds. These earbuds showcase cutting-edge technology and represent a new benchmark in the brand’s commitment to audio excellence.

New design and enhanced comfort

You’ll find an intriguing Black Copper variant alongside the classic Graphite and Metallic Silver in the new lineup. At first glance, they bear a resemblance to their predecessors. However, Sennheiser has refined the ear tips and nozzle for improved comfort and protection against ear wax, underscoring their attention to detail.

Cutting-edge technology and connectivity

These aren’t just ordinary earbuds. They’re equipped with adaptive noise cancellation and app control, typical of flagship-class earbuds. However, the absence of spatial audio support like Dolby Atmos sets them apart. Instead, they focus on delivering high-quality audio in other ways.

A standout feature is their connectivity, driven by Qualcomm’s S5 Sound Gen 2 platform. They support the latest Bluetooth 5.4, Auracast, and, notably, Qualcomm’s aptX Lossless codec. This codec is designed to deliver “bit-perfect” music, a significant draw for audiophiles who value the integrity of their music’s transmission. It’s important to note that your device must be compatible to utilise aptX Lossless fully.

Impressive battery life and charging options

When it comes to battery life, these earbuds are competitive. They offer up to 7.5 hours of playtime on a single charge and up to 30 hours with the charging case. There’s the convenience of Qi wireless charging and the standard USB-C option for charging.

Focusing on sound quality

Sennheiser has always prided itself on exceptional sound quality, and the Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds continue this legacy. By opting for aptX Lossless and not incorporating spatial audio, Sennheiser seems to be targeting the traditional audiophile market. This strategic move will stir interest and anticipation about how these earbuds will be received.

Availability and price point

Initially announced for pre-order in the US from February 15 at US$299.95 (around S$399), the earbuds have now made their way to Singapore. As of March 5, 2024, they are available for S$449 in three distinct colourways. You can find them through Sennheiser’s official website or select retailers.

The Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds from Sennheiser blend style, technology, and unmatched sound quality. They stand as a testament to Sennheiser’s ongoing quest for auditory perfection and are poised to impact the audio market significantly.
