Sony brings louder bass and new designs to its Ult Power speaker lineup in 2025

Sony’s 2025 Ult Power speakers offer deeper bass, longer battery, and party features, launching in Singapore in Q3.

Sony is taking party sound to the next level with its expanded Ult Power speaker range for 2025. If you love heart-thumping bass and rich audio experiences, these latest speakers are built just for you.

First launched in 2024, the Ult Power series is all about bold, bass-heavy sound. And now, Sony is adding three new speakers to the mix: the Ult Tower 9AC, Ult Field 5, and Ult Field 3. Whether you’re hosting a massive party or heading outdoors with your mates, there’s a speaker designed to fit your style. Best of all, these new models are coming to Singapore in Q3 2025.

Let’s look at what each speaker brings to the table.

Ult Tower 9AC delivers true party power

The Ult Tower 9AC is the most prominent speaker in the range and is built for big gatherings. It stands 91cm tall and weighs 28.5kg, but it can be moved easily thanks to a built-in dragging handle and caster wheels.

This speaker is powered by a built-in battery that lasts up to 25 hours or can be plugged into the mains. It consumes 148W of power and delivers an impressive 360° sound using a three-way bass reflex system. This includes two 50mm front tweeters, two 40mm rear tweeters, two 120mm midrange drivers, and a powerful 320mm woofer to create deep, immersive audio.

Like all speakers in the Ult Power line, the Tower 9AC features the signature Ult Button with two selectable bass modes—Ult1 and Ult2—so you can adjust the sound based on the vibe of your party.

But sound isn’t all it offers. The speaker also has two 6.3mm input ports for a microphone and guitar, turning your gathering into a karaoke or live music session. There’s also a USB-A port to play music from a drive, which doubles as a 5V/1.5A charging outlet for your phone. Other ports include an Audio In jack and an Optical In connector, giving you even more flexibility. And for extra flair, 360° Party Lights bring a visual element that matches the beat.

The Ult Tower 9AC will be available in Singapore in late June 2025 for S$1,089. If you pre-order early, you can snag it for a special price of S$899.

Ult Field 5 and Ult Field 3 bring party vibes on the go

If you plan a beach trip or a barbecue by the pool, the Ult Field 5 and Ult Field 3 are your go-to portable options. Designed with outdoor fun in mind, they’re lightweight and highly durable. The Ult Field 5 weighs 5.5kg, while the smaller Field 3 weighs just 1.2kg. Both models are rated IP66 or IP67 for dust and water resistance, so you don’t have to worry about accidental splashes or sand.

The Ult Field 5 has 360° Party Lights like its bigger sibling and supports Bluetooth 5.3 with LDAC for high-quality wireless audio. It delivers up to 27W of sound using two 46mm tweeters and a 107mm woofer, giving you rich and full sound in all directions. Its battery lasts up to 25 hours, keeping your music going all day and night.

While smaller, the Ult Field 3 still packs a punch. It runs on Bluetooth 5.2 and supports SBC and AAC audio. It has a built-in microphone with echo-cancelling for clear phone calls, and its battery lasts up to 24 hours. It delivers the same 27W power with a 20mm tweeter and a 46mm woofer.

Both models have USB-C charging ports and a 3.5mm audio jack for wired connections. The Ult Field 5 retails for S$449, while the Ult Field 3 is priced at S$309. Sales begin in early July 2025.

If you pre-order either model before August 3, 2025, you’ll receive a free pair of Sony WF-C510 true wireless earbuds as a bonus.

Sony’s Ult Power line continues to prove that powerful sound and stylish design can go hand in hand—whether you’re hosting a party indoors or taking your tunes outdoors. With a mix of rich features and exciting extras, these new additions are set to make a big splash this year.
