Synology has marked its 25th anniversary by unveiling a suite of new enterprise solutions designed to enhance cyber resilience and drive intelligent digital transformation. The company introduced advanced data protection systems, AI-powered surveillance, and high-performance storage solutions tailored for modern enterprises.
According to Thachawan Chinchanakarn, Head of Southeast Asia at Synology, digital transformation remains a major catalyst for data growth in the region. “Digital transformation continues to be the main driver of data growth,” said Thachawan. “This strong momentum is fuelling greater demand for advanced solutions.”
Findings from Synology’s 2025 Digital Transformation Trend Survey show that nearly 90 per cent of businesses in Southeast Asia have already invested in digital transformation initiatives as part of long-term strategies. However, 85 per cent of organisations remain in the early stages of their digital journey. More than half have faced cyberattacks, yet only 20 per cent expressed confidence in their ability to recover from such incidents.
Singapore’s growing digital ecosystem
Singapore continues to play a central role as a regional hub for digital transformation, with both multinational corporations and small to medium-sized enterprises investing heavily in emerging technologies. The government’s digitalisation initiatives and strong private sector participation underscore the need for modern data infrastructure and solutions that ensure operational resilience.
Jason Sin, Account Manager at Synology, highlighted the company’s growth in Singapore. “Over the past five years, Synology has continuously earned the trust of enterprises and organisations in Singapore, nearly doubling revenue growth,” he said. “With our expanded portfolio, business customers in Singapore now have more tailored solutions to meet their diverse and specific needs.”
Earlier this year, the company launched ActiveProtect, a dedicated enterprise backup appliance designed to safeguard workloads across multiple sites. The system offers capacities from 8TB to 140TB, supporting immutable backups, air-gap capabilities, and compliance features. These functions collectively provide robust protection against evolving cyber threats.
Expanding surveillance and storage capabilities
Synology also announced enhancements to its video surveillance ecosystem, which now includes AI-powered analytics and a cloud-based management platform. The new system can identify people, vehicles, and intrusions in real time, while C2 Surveillance, Synology’s cloud-based platform, allows secure deployment and management across multiple locations. The unified ecosystem integrates cameras, storage, and software, enabling centralised monitoring for improved efficiency.
In addition to its surveillance solutions, Synology unveiled the PAS7700, its first all-NVMe enterprise storage solution. The system delivers up to two million IOPS and 30 GB/s throughput with less than one millisecond latency. Featuring an active-active architecture for continuous availability, the PAS7700 is equipped with enterprise-grade encryption and performance features suited for mission-critical applications.
Preparing for an AI-driven future
Looking ahead, Synology plans to integrate AI-powered features into its Office Suite, including optical character recognition (OCR), semantic search, summarisation, and real-time translation. These capabilities will run on on-premises servers, ensuring that sensitive data remains private while enabling smarter, more secure collaboration.

“Cyber resilience is now the top priority for IT leaders worldwide, essential for business continuity and enterprise competitiveness,” said Thachawan. “Our portfolio demonstrates Synology’s commitment to delivering simple, scalable and secure solutions that empower businesses to safeguard their most critical assets and thrive in the digital future.”
