VAST Data signs US$1.17 billion partnership with CoreWeave to power next-generation AI

[output_post_excerpt]

VAST Data has announced a new commercial agreement worth US$1.17 billion with CoreWeave, the cloud infrastructure provider specialising in artificial intelligence. The deal strengthens their existing partnership, positioning VAST as the primary data foundation for CoreWeave’s AI cloud and marking a significant milestone in the evolution of AI computing infrastructure.

Through the VAST AI Operating System (AI OS), CoreWeave’s infrastructure delivers instant access to large datasets, high performance, and scalable economics for both AI training and inference workloads. Its architecture allows for deployment in any data centre, giving CoreWeave customers flexibility and reliability without concerns over scale or uptime. This level of performance supports some of the world’s most demanding computing environments, ensuring that organisations using CoreWeave’s AI cloud can operate without interruption.

Building advanced AI data services

As part of the expanded partnership, VAST and CoreWeave will jointly develop advanced data services that span the entire technology stack. These services aim to improve data pipelines and enhance the capabilities available to model builders. Together, the companies intend to build the next generation of AI infrastructure, focusing on helping customers accelerate development, scale operations effortlessly, and maintain high efficiency.

Renen Hallak, Founder and CEO of VAST Data, said, “At VAST, we are building the data foundation for the most ambitious AI initiatives in the world. Our deep integration with CoreWeave is the result of a long-term commitment to working side by side at both the business and technical level. By aligning our roadmaps, we are delivering an AI platform that organisations cannot find anywhere else in the market.”

Redefining data and compute for AI

Brian Venturo, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of CoreWeave, added, “The VAST AI Operating System underpins key aspects of how we design and deliver our AI cloud. This partnership enables us to deliver AI infrastructure that is the most performant, scalable, and cost-efficient in the market, while reinforcing the trust and reliability of a data platform that our customers depend on for their most demanding workloads.”

The collaboration reflects a shared vision to redefine data and compute architecture for AI. By combining CoreWeave’s GPU-accelerated cloud infrastructure with VAST’s AI Operating System, the two companies are introducing a new class of intelligent data architecture. This system is designed to support continuous training, real-time inference, and large-scale data processing, enabling mission-critical industries to meet the growing demands of modern AI applications.
