Amazon gives away free games ahead of Prime Day 2025

Amazon is offering a wide range of free games for Prime members ahead of Prime Day 2025, including Tomb Raider and Saints Row.

Amazon offers a generous lineup of free games leading to Prime Day 2025. If you’re a Prime member, you can download and play a wide range of titles at no extra cost. The promotion began on June 17 at 12 PM Eastern Time and runs through to Prime Day, which takes place from July 8 to July 11.

With Prime Gaming included in your subscription, you can access a rotation of free PC games and exclusive in-game items. If you’ve never tried Prime before, Amazon also offers a free 30-day trial, allowing you to enjoy these bonuses without committing to a subscription. Typically, Prime costs US$15 per month or US$139 per year.

Big-name games available now

Among the free titles already available is Dungeon of the Endless Definitive Edition. In this roguelike strategy game, you step into the shoes of a prisoner who crashes on a mysterious alien planet. Your mission is to protect your ship’s power source as you fight through waves of hostile creatures on your way to safety. The game is available to claim via the Amazon Games App.

Also free to download is TOEM, a hand-drawn adventure game developed by the Swedish studio Something We Made. In this game, you play as a travelling photographer, solving puzzles using your camera. This title is accessible via a GOG code, adding a charming, creative option to the giveaway lineup.

More classic and modern hits are included in the offer. Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, Starring Lara Croft, is available through GOG, featuring all three original adventures and their expansions and hidden levels. You can also claim Saints Row 2, the action-packed sequel that picks up after your character wakes from a coma to discover your gang has fallen apart.

Even more thrills await with Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, where you become the President of the United States fighting off an alien invasion, and Star Wars: Rebellion, a strategy game set in the galaxy far, far away. Both games are free through GOG.

More free titles on the way

Several other indie and cult favourites are also part of the giveaway. These include Mordheim: City of the Damned, a turn-based tactical game set in the Warhammer universe, and The Abandoned Planet, a minimalist space exploration game. Other available titles are Station to Station, a relaxing railway-building simulator, and Death Squared, a fun co-op puzzle game.

More games will unlock as Prime Day approaches. On June 19, you can grab Dark Envoy and FATE: Undiscovered Realms. Then, on June 26, you can claim Thief: Deadly Shadows, Jupiter Hell, and Gallery of Things: Reveries.
