The new lineup includes the Arlo Essential Pan Tilt Indoor Camera, Arlo Essential Pan Tilt Security Camera, Arlo Essential Security Camera (3rd Gen), Arlo Pro Security Camera (6th Gen) and Arlo Ultra Security Camera (3rd Gen). Together, the products cover a broad range of budgets and installation needs, from entry-level indoor monitoring to high-end outdoor surveillance.
New cameras target indoor and outdoor home security needs
Arlo’s most affordable new product is the Essential Pan Tilt Indoor Camera, priced at S$69. Designed for indoor use, the compact device records video in up to 2K resolution and supports coloured night vision. It also includes a two-way audio system, allowing users to communicate with people inside the home through the camera.
The camera features automatic motion tracking and audio detection, supported by a 360-degree rotating base and a 180-degree tilt mechanism. These capabilities allow the device to follow movement across a room, helping users monitor pets, children or unexpected activity. Privacy zones can be configured to prevent filming in sensitive areas.
The Essential Pan Tilt Security Camera, priced at S$89, offers similar features but is built for outdoor use. It supports 2K recording, coloured night vision, two-way audio, motion tracking and audio detection, along with the same 360-degree base and 180-degree tilt. Unlike the indoor model, it is weather-resistant and designed for mounting under roofs or on ceilings, making it suitable for monitoring entrances and outdoor spaces.
Arlo also refreshed its stationary camera lineup with the Essential Security Camera (3rd Gen), starting at S$99. This model records in 2K, includes coloured night vision and two-way audio, and offers a wider 130-degree field of view. It also features an integrated spotlight that can illuminate suspicious activity at night, along with HDR support for improved video quality. The camera runs on a swappable rechargeable battery that Arlo claims can last up to 4 months on a single charge, providing flexibility in placement without the need for permanent wiring.
Pro and Ultra models push higher-end performance
For users seeking more advanced capabilities, Arlo has introduced the Pro Security Camera (6th Gen), priced from S$169. This model builds on the Essential range with improved colour night vision, a wider 160-degree field of view and a low-battery power mode designed to extend runtime. Like the Essential Security Camera, it includes an integrated spotlight, HDR recording and weather resistance. It is powered by a swappable rechargeable battery that lasts up to 8 months on a single charge.
At the top of the lineup is the Arlo Ultra Security Camera (3rd Gen), priced from S$249. Positioned as the company’s flagship device, it records in 4K resolution with HDR and offers a wide 180-degree field of view. Although it does not physically pan or tilt, the high-resolution sensor allows users to zoom in and track subjects digitally. The camera also includes two-way audio, an integrated spotlight and enhanced colour night vision, and runs on a swappable rechargeable battery with an estimated six-month lifespan per charge.
All five cameras support dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and integrate with the Arlo app, which delivers alerts and live video feeds to smartphones. Buyers also receive a free trial of Arlo’s subscription plans, which unlock additional cloud and AI features.
Arlo Intelligence expands with new AI and audio features
Beyond hardware, Arlo continues to emphasise its subscription-based Arlo Intelligence platform as a key differentiator. The service provides cloud video history, interactive notifications and customisable activity and privacy zones. It also supports recognition features such as person, vehicle, package and animal detection, helping reduce false alerts from general motion detection.
With the latest update, Arlo has added new capabilities to Arlo Intelligence, including fire detection, advanced audio detection and AI-generated event captions that summarise detected activity. A video search function has also been introduced to help users quickly find recorded clips, which could be particularly useful for reviewing incidents or tracking recurring events.
Access to these features requires an Arlo Secure subscription. The company offers three tiers: a Basic plan for a single camera at S$6.67 per month, a Basic Unlimited Camera plan at S$10.83 per month, and a Plus Unlimited Camera plan at S$15.00 per month. These subscriptions are designed to complement Arlo’s hardware by providing more advanced monitoring and data storage capabilities.
All five cameras are now available on Arlo’s official website and at partner retailers, including major online platforms such as Amazon, Lazada, and Shopee. With this expanded lineup, Arlo is targeting a wider range of users, from those seeking affordable indoor monitoring to homeowners seeking premium outdoor surveillance with advanced AI.
