ASUS launches AMD Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT graphics cards with advanced cooling and AI-powered features

ASUS launches the Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT graphics cards, featuring AI-powered super resolution, improved cooling, and durable designs.

ASUS has unveiled its latest AMD Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT graphics cards under the TUF Gaming and Prime series. These new cards, built on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture, feature 16GB of VRAM and cutting-edge AI-powered enhancements, including HYPR-RX technology and a super resolution mode. Designed to deliver top-tier gaming performance, these graphics cards promise high frame rates and detailed visuals while ensuring efficient heat management.

TUF Gaming series delivers high-performance cooling

The TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Edition and RX 9070 OC Edition focus on durability and efficient cooling, making them ideal for gamers who demand long-term reliability. These models feature three 11-blade Axial-tech fans that optimise airflow while maintaining low noise levels. The 0dB fan technology ensures complete silence during lighter workloads, while wide vents on the aluminium backplate enhance heat dissipation.

For those looking for performance tuning options, a physical Dual BIOS switch allows users to toggle between performance and quiet modes. Additionally, ASUS GPU Tweak III software provides precise hardware monitoring and fan control.

One standout feature of the new TUF Gaming cards is the phase-change thermal pad. Unlike traditional thermal paste, this solid-state pad liquefies when heated, filling microscopic gaps between the GPU and cooling module for superior thermal conductivity. This ensures better heat dissipation and long-term reliability, even under heavy loads. The phase-change pad also lasts longer than conventional thermal pastes, making it an excellent choice for users who run demanding workloads regularly.

The TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 also feature military-grade components for enhanced durability, an anti-sag GPU holder, and dual-ball fan bearings that last twice as long as traditional designs. The metal exoskeleton provides additional structural rigidity, and an advanced PCB coating protects against moisture and dust.

Visually, these cards retain the rugged aesthetic of the TUF Gaming series, featuring an illuminated TUF Gaming logo compatible with ASUS Aura Sync for customisable lighting effects.

Prime series balances performance and efficiency

The ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Edition and RX 9070 OC Edition cater to those looking for high performance in a more compact design. These models feature a 2.5-slot layout, making them suitable for smaller PC cases while maintaining efficient cooling.

To optimise airflow, ASUS has refined its Axial-tech fans by incorporating a smaller hub, allowing for longer fan blades. A surrounding barrier ring increases downward air pressure, ensuring effective cooling even in tight spaces.

Like the TUF Gaming series, the Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 models also benefit from phase-change thermal pads for improved heat transfer. Additionally, dual-ball fan bearings provide extended longevity, and the ASUS Auto-Extreme manufacturing process ensures consistent quality and precision. Users can also take advantage of 0dB technology, a dual BIOS switch, and an aluminium protective backplate for added durability.

Power supply recommendations and pricing

ASUS advises users to pair their new Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT graphics cards with a reliable power supply to avoid system instability. The TUF Gaming Gold series PSUs, available in 750W to 1200W, offer high durability and efficiency, making them a great match for these graphics cards. Alternatively, the ASUS Prime Gold PSUs provide a sleek aesthetic with 80 PLUS Gold certification for efficient energy consumption.

The ASUS Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT graphics cards are now available in Singapore. Prices are as follows:

ModelPrice (S$)
