ASUS unveils new high-performance gaming monitor

ASUS ROG's new Swift OLED PG32UCDP gaming monitor, featuring dual-mode 4K and FHD visuals, AI-enhanced gaming assists, and advanced OLED technology, launches in Singapore this September for S$2,199.

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has launched the Swift OLED PG32UCDP, a state-of-the-art 32-inch 4K WOLED gaming monitor with a dual-mode capability allowing seamless transitions between 4K visuals at 240 Hz and FHD at 480 Hz. This latest innovation is designed to cater to hardcore and casual gamers, enhancing gameplay with cutting-edge features.

Advanced gaming technology

The Swift OLED PG32UCDP has the new ROG AI Assistant, which enhances gaming with several automated features. These include AI Visual, which optimises display settings based on the on-screen content, and AI Crosshair, which changes the crosshair colour to contrast against the background, improving target visibility. The monitor also offers AI Sniper for better zoom focus and AI Shadow Boost, which brightens dark areas of the game, making hidden enemies easier to spot.

Another innovative feature is the MOBA Map Helper, designed to alert players to upcoming group battles, a crucial tool for strategy games. These features collectively aim to elevate the user’s gaming experience, making it both more competitive and enjoyable.

Exceptional display quality and durability

ROG’s third-generation OLED technology powers the PG32UCDP, ensuring ultra-dark blacks, superior contrast, and a rapid 0.03 ms response time for sharp, blur-free visuals. The monitor also includes Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology, enhancing motion clarity, and a Clear Pixel Edge algorithm to improve text readability.

Additionally, the monitor incorporates OLED Anti-flicker technology to minimise screen flicker during fluctuating frame rates. It also features a uniform brightness feature to maintain consistent luminance, which helps reduce eye strain during extended gaming sessions.

The PG32UCDP is designed with a custom heatsink and integrated airflow channels to optimise thermal management and prevent burn-in, extending the monitor’s lifespan. ASUS also offers OLED Care—a suite of protective features including Pixel Cleaning and Pixel Move—to maintain screen quality, backed by a three-year warranty.

Versatility and connectivity

This monitor adapts to various gaming needs, allowing users to switch between different screen sizes, from 24.5 inches for esports to 27 inches for more immersive gaming. The intuitive ASUS DisplayWidget Centre enables easy adjustments to monitor settings using a mouse.

The PG32UCDP supports various multimedia devices with multiple connectivity options, including DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 90 W Power Delivery. It also features a built-in headphone jack and a tripod socket for additional utility.

The PG32UCDP, priced at S$2,199, will hit the markets in early September 2024. It promises to be a game-changer for enthusiasts looking to push the boundaries of their gaming rigs.
