Blaize Holdings has announced a major step forward in its collaboration with India’s Yotta Data Services to deploy advanced AI-powered video surveillance infrastructure across South Asia. The partnership, valued at US$56 million, will support the rollout of more than 250,000 public safety and monitoring endpoints through 2026, transforming the scale and intelligence of surveillance networks in the region.
Blaize, listed on NASDAQ as BZAI and BZAIW, specialises in programmable, energy-efficient edge AI computing. Yotta, a leading provider of sovereign AI and cloud platform services in India, is integrating Blaize’s AI platform into its hybrid AI infrastructure. Initial shipments of the technology have already begun, with full-scale deployment continuing into next year. The initiative is designed to deliver real-time analytics and enhance public safety and security across India before expanding into other markets, including the Middle East.
AI-driven video surveillance as a service
The project is centred on Yotta’s video surveillance as a service (VSaaS) platform, powered by Blaize’s AI capabilities. By combining edge AI processing with Yotta’s robust digital infrastructure, the platform will enable real-time monitoring and analysis of video feeds across vast networks of connected cameras.
Key use cases include traffic management, automatic licence plate recognition, and improved incident detection for public spaces. The architecture will integrate edge inference with centralised cloud analytics, allowing faster and more scalable data processing. This approach will support the development of national-level smart infrastructure, helping governments and enterprises modernise their security operations.
Darshan Hirandani, chairman and co-founder at Yotta, said the company was seeing rapid progress in its work with Blaize. “With its unique programmability, multimodal performance, and seamless integration, the Blaize AI Platform gives us the flexibility to scale our Hybrid AI infrastructure and unlock new opportunities for enterprises and public sector organisations across the region.”
Dinakar Munagala, co-founder and CEO of Blaize, described the partnership as a breakthrough for AI adoption at scale. “With the Blaize AI Platform and Yotta’s infrastructure, we’re not only delivering real-time analytics for public safety and enterprises in India but also establishing a scalable model that can be replicated worldwide,” he said.
Expanding AI-powered safety solutions beyond India
While India is the starting point for this initiative, Yotta has ambitions to expand its AI-driven public safety and monitoring solutions to other markets. The Middle East is expected to be among the first regions targeted after India, offering new opportunities for governments and large organisations to adopt cloud-native surveillance and analytics services.
The collaboration highlights the growing importance of AI at the edge, where real-time data processing can significantly improve public safety response and infrastructure resilience. As adoption accelerates, the Blaize and Yotta model could become a blueprint for similar smart city and public safety projects globally.
