ConnectingDNA launches AI-powered DNA wellness marketplace in Singapore

ConnectingDNA launches the world’s first AI-powered DNA wellness marketplace in Singapore, offering personalised health insights and secure data protection.

Singapore-based startup ConnectingDNA has launched the beta version of what it describes as the world’s first AI-powered DNA wellness marketplace. The platform combines genetic data and artificial intelligence to deliver personalised health insights and connect users directly with trusted wellness providers.

The service allows individuals to upload their DNA reports privately and receive recommendations across nutrition, supplements, fitness and lifestyle solutions. By partnering with wellness brands, coaches, nutritionists and trainers, ConnectingDNA aims to create bespoke programmes at scale.

Cedric Lee, CEO of ConnectingDNA, said the industry has been dominated by trial-and-error methods for too long. “ConnectingDNA introduces the world’s first approach that eliminates the guesswork by translating your DNA into personalised, science-backed insights, making it easier and safer to choose what truly works for you,” he said.

AI-driven recommendations for wellness providers

The global wellness market is projected to reach US$7.4 trillion by 2025, and DNA testing is becoming increasingly common across Asia. Despite this growth, many consumers are still left with generic solutions that fail to use their genetic data effectively. ConnectingDNA seeks to bridge this gap by combining DNA analysis with an AI-powered search engine developed with support from Microsoft and Meta.

The search engine is trained on scientific datasets and designed to understand natural, conversational queries. Users can ask questions in everyday language about concerns such as fatigue, stress or focus, and the system will provide tailored recommendations. Vendors can then use this data to offer DNA-personalised wellness plans, enabling practitioners to deliver targeted programmes at scale.

“Users don’t have to know the scientific terms to find what their body needs. Our AI understands the way people naturally ask questions about their health without any usage of medical jargon or product labels,” Lee added.

Building trust and securing data

Given the sensitive nature of genetic information, ConnectingDNA has invested in robust cybersecurity measures. The company is pursuing ISO 27001 certification and has engaged in penetration testing. One of its investors also provides cybersecurity services to governments, further underscoring its commitment to data protection.

The platform is also rooted in the personal experiences of its founders. Co-founder Ee Ting Choo shared that she overcame chronic fatigue linked to a blood disorder by adjusting her diet based on DNA insights, which helped her regain her energy and improve her health markers. “That experience, along with the many stories I’ve heard over the years from others who used DNA to get their health back on track, showed me the power of translating genetics into everyday action. It’s what we want to make accessible to everyone through this platform,” she said.

Lee also highlighted how DNA testing helped his son by revealing learning challenges, allowing the family to adapt their approach and improve academic performance.

Towards a DNA-based wellness movement

Beyond serving as a marketplace, ConnectingDNA positions itself as part of a broader shift towards DNA-based health and preventative care. Lee said the platform represents more than just technology. “With the rise of AI and the growing demand for preventative health, the time is right for a paradigm shift. We see ConnectingDNA as more than a marketplace — it’s the foundation of a new way of living well, guided by science and made accessible through AI.”

ConnectingDNA has opened for early access, allowing users to experience AI-powered recommendations and for wellness professionals to join the platform to connect with a health-conscious audience.
