Garmin launches Instinct 3 Series smartwatches with AMOLED displays

Garmin unveils the Instinct 3 Series, rugged smartwatches with AMOLED displays, solar charging, advanced health monitoring, and military-grade durability.

Garmin Singapore unveiled its latest lineup of rugged smartwatches, the Instinct 3 Series. The range combines bold design with advanced features, including a vivid AMOLED display option and solar-charging capabilities for extended battery life. Each model also includes a built-in LED flashlight and a metal-reinforced bezel for durability, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.

According to Garmin, the Instinct 3 AMOLED models offer up to 24 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, while the solar-powered models can deliver unlimited battery life with sufficient sunlight.

“With trendy, limited-edition colours and a durable design, Instinct 3 is the smartwatch you can wear whenever, wherever. Packed with connected features, popular built-in sports apps and 24/7 health and wellness monitoring, the latest lineup is built to help you follow your passions—whatever they may be,” said Scoppen Lin, Assistant General Manager of Garmin Asia.

Built to endure the toughest adventures

The Instinct 3 Series features a metal-reinforced bezel, a fibre-reinforced polymer case, and a scratch-resistant display, ensuring maximum durability. Built to meet military standards for thermal and shock resistance (MIL-STD 810), the watches are also water-rated to 100 metres. The integrated flashlight, now standard on all models, offers variable intensities, a red light, and a strobe mode, making it versatile for tasks such as navigating in the dark or outdoor camping.

The watches are available in two sizes (45mm and 50mm) and come in sleek options such as Black and Black/Charcoal. For those who prefer vibrant designs, the limited-edition Tropical Pulse Collection offers colours like Neotropic and Neotropic/Twilight.

Garmin has enhanced the Instinct 3 Series with features to support an active lifestyle:

  • Solar efficiency: The 50mm Instinct 3 Solar offers over five times the battery life of its predecessor in GPS mode when using solar charging.
  • Health monitoring: Track steps, heart rate, sleep patterns, Pulse Ox, and heart rate variability (HRV) status. Women-specific features include menstrual and pregnancy tracking, alongside tailored exercise and nutrition tips.
  • Morning report: Start your day with insights into your sleep, HRV status, and a summary of daily events.
  • Smart connectivity: Receive notifications for emails, texts, and alerts when paired with a smartphone.
  • Enhanced navigation: Multi-band GPS with SatIQ ensures accurate positioning, while TracBack routing helps you find your way back to starting points during adventures.
  • Garmin Explore app integration: Plan routes, review detailed maps, and create waypoints to enhance your outdoor activities.

Fitness enthusiasts will benefit from the array of preloaded sports apps, including hiking, cycling, running, and skiing. Custom workouts and adaptive training plans are available via the Garmin Connect app, while Garmin Coach helps users train for specific milestones.

The Instinct 3 AMOLED models are priced from S$689, while the solar-charging models start at S$609. The series is available at Garmin Brand Stores, Lazada, Shopee, the Garmin Online Store, Takashimaya, and authorised retailers.
