Geotab launches AI assistant Ace for fleets in Southeast Asia

Geotab launches Ace, a generative AI assistant, in Southeast Asia to help fleets improve safety, efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Geotab, a global provider of connected transportation solutions, has introduced its generative AI assistant, Geotab Ace, to customers across Southeast Asia. The launch brings the industry’s first fully integrated AI-powered assistant to the region through the MyGeotab platform, offering local fleet operators new ways to improve efficiency and safety.

The company said the move follows the successful global debut of Geotab Ace and responds to rising demand for connected vehicle data and actionable insights. By analysing billions of data points each day, the platform aims to make fleet information more accessible and easier to understand.

“Geotab Ace marks an exciting step forward for fleet operators in Southeast Asia. By combining trusted data with the intuitive simplicity of conversational AI, we’re helping customers overcome local challenges, unlock new efficiencies, and accelerate progress toward safer, smarter, and more sustainable transport operations,” said Chris Martin, Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering – APAC at Geotab.

Data-driven insights for better fleet performance

Geotab Ace uses a wide range of data to provide targeted, context-aware answers to complex operational questions. The assistant draws on predictive safety analytics, maintenance forecasts, trip and zone activity, electric vehicle statistics, GPS tracking and more. It is also able to remember previous queries to refine future responses, while tailoring insights to each fleet’s unique configuration within MyGeotab.

The tool explains its reasoning in clear, natural language, breaking down how it interprets user questions to make insights easier to act upon. Designed with strong privacy protections, Geotab Ace keeps all customer telematics data within Geotab’s secure environment and does not share information with external large language models.

Strengthening AI capabilities at scale

Geotab processes over 100 billion data points daily from more than five million connected vehicles worldwide, underlining its scale and expertise in fleet intelligence. The company’s dedicated data science team works to build robust AI models, helping customers gain actionable insights to cut costs, improve efficiency and enhance safety.

Operating in 160 countries, Geotab supports fleets of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to major public sector organisations. The company is also known for its strong data security standards, holding FIPS 140-3 and FedRAMP authorisations.

With the rollout of Geotab Ace in Southeast Asia, the company aims to provide fleets with more intuitive tools to manage complex operations and prepare for the region’s evolving transport needs.
