Goldshell launches AE BOX, its first ALEO miner, with a focus on privacy and security

Goldshell has launched AE BOX, its first ALEO miner, offering enhanced privacy and security through zero-knowledge proofing, available from 7 February 2025.

Goldshell, a subsidiary of Intchains Group Limited, has launched its first ALEO miner, the AE BOX, marking a significant step in privacy-focused cryptocurrency mining. The device, which became available on 7 February 2025, is designed to leverage zero-knowledge proofing technology, allowing users to mine securely while protecting sensitive transaction data.

The AE BOX operates at a hashrate of 37 MH/s±5%, with a power consumption of 360W±5% and an efficiency rating of 9.73J/MH. Its launch introduces new opportunities for miners looking to operate within a privacy-centric, decentralised blockchain environment.

According to Charles Yan, Chief Financial Officer of ICG, the AE BOX aims to place users at the forefront of evolving crypto technology. “The AE BOX enables us to introduce the promising world of ALEO’s zero-knowledge proofing technology to our users. The world of crypto rapidly evolves, and the launch of the AE BOX aims to place our users at the forefront of such developments. Leveraging ALEO’s groundbreaking technology, the AE BOX empowers our users to achieve new levels of efficiency and privacy in their mining operations while providing a safe and secure platform to scale their crypto efforts,” Yan said.

How AE BOX enhances crypto mining

Goldshell’s AE BOX is built to integrate with ALEO’s decentralised open-source platform, which employs zero-knowledge proofing to enhance privacy and efficiency. Key features include:

  • Privacy protection – Zero-knowledge proofing allows transactions to be validated without exposing private data, reducing risks related to fraud and data leaks.
  • Customisation – The AE BOX enables developers to personalise mining applications, adjusting settings for specific operational needs.
  • Scalability – With high-performance computing capabilities, the miner supports complex transactions while maintaining efficiency as networks expand.

Goldshell has also introduced the AE BOX Pro, an upgraded version offering a hashrate of 44 MH/s±5% and power consumption of 460W±5% for those requiring greater mining capabilities.

Availability and specifications

The AE BOX and AE BOX Pro are now available for purchase on Goldshell’s official website. Both models come with a 180-day warranty from the date of shipment.
