Keeper Security updates mobile apps for iOS and Android

Keeper Security updates its iOS and Android apps with new features, improved design and stronger 2FA for better mobile password protection.

Keeper Security has rolled out major updates to its mobile apps for iOS and Android, introducing a refreshed interface and new features that aim to enhance security and usability. The updates include improved search functionality, a cleaner design, and a more flexible two-factor authentication (2FA) setup.

The latest versions — iOS 17.4 and Android 17.3 — are designed to help individuals, families and organisations manage passwords, passkeys and sensitive data more efficiently on mobile devices. As smartphones continue to serve as a primary access point for both personal and business information, Keeper’s latest updates reflect growing demand for secure, convenient mobile security tools.

Smarter tools for mobile password management

The iOS app now includes a new WiFi login record type, making it easier to save and share network credentials via QR codes. This feature is particularly useful in household and office settings, where network access often needs to be shared securely with multiple users. Apple Watch users will also notice a refreshed experience, while enterprise users will see clearer messaging when administrative policies restrict sharing or other actions.

On both platforms, Keeper has enhanced the 2FA setup process. Users can now upload screenshots of QR codes, providing an alternative to camera scans and manual entries. This update improves flexibility when setting up secure login credentials, especially for users managing multiple accounts or switching devices.

Updated design and improved performance

The Android version now features a redesigned interface across key screens, including record view, editing, and preview. Users can expect a more modern look, with cleaner field layouts, updated icons, password strength indicators, and streamlined navigation. These visual changes are complemented by functional improvements to the app’s search capabilities, allowing quicker access to stored records, including those located in nested folders.

The updates reflect Keeper’s ongoing investment in user experience, combining strong encryption and zero-trust principles with practical design improvements. The company’s zero-knowledge architecture ensures that even Keeper cannot access stored credentials, maintaining full privacy and control for users.

“Our mobile apps are designed for real life – where people and businesses need secure access to their credentials, anytime and anywhere,” said Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security. “These updates enhance both the experience and the security behind it, giving users more control, more flexibility and peace of mind knowing their information is protected at all times.”

Trusted by users and recognised by industry

The Keeper Password Manager app has built a strong reputation among consumers, with over 200,000 reviews on the Apple App Store averaging a 4.9-star rating. The Android version has been downloaded more than 10 million times from the Google Play Store. The updates follow a series of recent accolades for Keeper, including a top 10 spot on Newsweek’s America’s Best Online Platforms 2025 list and recognition from CHIP Magazine as the top performer among password managers.

In addition, Keeper won the Fortress Cybersecurity Award for zero-trust architecture and has held the top spot in GigaOm’s annual password management Radar Report for four consecutive years.

The new versions of Keeper’s mobile apps will be available in app stores in the coming days. Users can download or update the app by searching “Keeper Password Manager” on their devices or by visiting keepersecurity.com. For detailed instructions and video tutorials, users can access the support section of Keeper’s website.
