LG unveils the future of home entertainment with StanbyME screen and speaker

Explore LG's new StanbyME screen and speaker duo, delivering an unparalleled audio-visual experience in home entertainment with cutting-edge features.

LG Electronics has launched its latest offerings in home entertainment: the 2024 LG StanbyME and the LG StanbyME Speaker. These innovative products were introduced in Singapore on June 10, 2024, and are set to transform the way users experience audio and visual entertainment at home.

Advanced audio-visual integration

The latest iteration of the LG StanbyME, following its initial release in 2022, now comes with enhanced mobility features, including dynamic wheels, facilitating easy movement across various room settings. It seamlessly integrates with the new LG StanbyME Speaker, elevating the home entertainment experience with superior sound and visual quality. The speaker, equipped with the WOW Orchestra feature, syncs perfectly with the StanbyME’s built-in audio system through Bluetooth, delivering an exceptional sound experience that enhances the vivid visuals provided by the screen’s α (Alpha) 7 Gen4 processor. The combination of the screen’s advanced image processing and the speaker’s dual tweeters and passive radiators ensures a rich audio-visual feast.

Controlling these devices is streamlined through a dedicated widget on the 2024 LG StanbyME interface, enabling users to monitor battery life, fine-tune sound settings, and manage volume directly from the screen. The speaker’s specially designed cradle attaches it securely to the lifestyle screen, combining high-quality audio and visuals without the need for a traditional sound system.

Enhanced mobility and functionality

Improvements in the design of the 2024 LG StanbyME include a more robust wheel mechanism that allows for smooth and quiet transportation across different surfaces, including carpets. The adjustable stand provides additional functionality with a 20cm height adjustment and the ability to rotate the screen 180° to landscape or portrait mode, swivel it to 130°, and tilt it up to 50°. This adaptability ensures optimal viewing angles, enhancing user comfort and experience.

The device also features a built-in battery that offers up to three hours of wireless viewing, reducing the need for frequent recharges. It comes preloaded with a variety of OTT streaming services, providing convenient access to a wide range of entertainment options without the necessity of external devices.

Versatile speaker with impressive durability

The LG StanbyME Speaker is not only a perfect companion to the lifestyle screen but also serves as an effective standalone speaker. It can be connected to smartphones and other devices via Bluetooth, making it highly versatile for different audio needs. Despite its compact size, the speaker does not compromise on sound quality, featuring a combination of dual passive radiators and a centre woofer that delivers powerful bass and dynamic audio. Its lightweight design, IPX5 rating, and up to 16 hours of playback make it ideal for providing excellent sound quality on the move.

The combined capabilities of the 2024 LG StanbyME and LG StanbyME Speaker redefine home entertainment, offering innovative, high-performance features that enhance users’ enjoyment of audio and visual content in their homes. Both products are now available for purchase, with the LG StanbyME priced at S$1,799 and the LG StanbyME Speaker priced at S$299, at the LG Official Brand Store and authorised retailers.
