Nothing launches Headphone (1) in Singapore with bold design and immersive sound

Nothing launches its first over-ear Headphone (1) in Singapore, blending design, sound, and AI features for an immersive audio experience.

Nothing has officially launched its first over-ear audio product, Headphone (1), in Singapore. The company’s latest release combines expressive industrial design with immersive sound and advanced noise cancellation features. Co-engineered with audio expert KEF, the headphones are aimed at both audiophiles and everyday users looking for a distinct audio experience.

The product marks Nothing’s first foray into the over-ear headphone category, expanding its portfolio beyond smartphones and in-ear audio devices. With a clear emphasis on design and tactile interaction, Headphone (1) reflects the company’s commitment to building technology that feels personal and intuitive.

Designed for comfort, style and control

Headphone (1) features a distinctive transparent design and premium materials, including formed aluminium, precision CNC components, and memory foam padding. The lightweight ear cups combine aluminium with high-durability plastic for both strength and aesthetics, while telescopic arms allow smooth, adjustable fitting.

To ensure long-term comfort, the oil-resistant PU memory foam cushions are designed to mould naturally to the listener’s head, reducing pressure and forming a reliable acoustic seal across various head shapes.

Departing from traditional touch controls, Nothing has implemented physical tactile controls directly into the headphone hardware. These include the Roller, Paddle, and Button, which allow users to control volume, skip tracks, and toggle ANC modes with greater accuracy. This approach is intended to eliminate the friction and uncertainty often associated with touch interfaces.

Acoustic innovation in partnership with KEF

Nothing launches Headphone (1) in Singapore with bold design and immersive sound - 1

Headphone (1) is the first product developed in collaboration with KEF, a British audio brand with over 60 years of heritage. The headphones feature custom-built 40 mm dynamic drivers tuned using KEF’s proprietary acoustic tools, delivering a sound profile with deep bass, clear mids, and detailed highs.

The headphones also support Hi-Res Audio, LDAC, and USB-C lossless playback, in addition to a 3.5 mm jack for wired listening. With on-device spatialisation and head tracking, the headphones can convert stereo sources into a 360-degree soundstage that shifts in real time with the listener’s movements. This ensures a dynamic and engaging experience across different listening modes, including Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Transparency, and Spatial Audio.

A high-linearity suspension and precision damping system are included to reduce distortion and preserve audio fidelity, ensuring that playback stays true to the artist’s intent.

Personalised experience with AI and long-lasting battery

Headphone (1) includes advanced ANC powered by dual feedforward and feedback microphones, which dynamically adapt to ambient noise. Transparency Mode helps users stay aware of their surroundings, while a four-microphone Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) system ensures clear calls even in noisy settings. The ENC system is trained using over 28 million real-world noise scenarios and is supported by AI.

Battery life reaches up to 35 hours of playback time, with fast charging providing 2.4 hours of use from just five minutes of charging. Bluetooth 5.3 enables stable connectivity and dual device support, along with low-latency performance and Fast Pair capabilities.

Users can customise controls through the Nothing X app, including the multifunctional Button that activates Channel Hop—a shortcut for switching between recent apps and audio sources. The Button can also be programmed to trigger voice commands or launch Essential Space, a feature for capturing voice notes and reminders exclusive to Nothing devices.

The app also offers an 8-band advanced equaliser for detailed sound tuning, letting users go beyond basic presets and adjust audio to their preferences.

Headphone (1) is available in Black and White at a retail price of SGD$399. Pre-orders begin on 9 July, with open sales starting on 15 July.
