Nothing launches Phone (3) in Singapore as its first true flagship smartphone

Nothing unveils Phone (3) in Singapore, combining bold design, creative tools, and flagship performance at a retail price of S$1,199.

London-based tech brand Nothing has announced the launch of its highly anticipated Phone (3), positioning it as the company’s first true flagship smartphone. Combining an evolved design, new interface innovations, and top-tier performance, Phone (3) aims to redefine personal technology with creativity and purpose. The launch reflects Nothing’s ambition to challenge conventional smartphone design while deepening its community-centric approach.

Design evolution meets user-centric innovation

Phone (3) retains the brand’s signature transparent design language, but introduces several key upgrades. The new tri-column structure and improved ergonomics bring a stronger visual rhythm, while the redesigned R-angle frame and slimmer bezels improve grip and screen immersion. The device features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, adaptive 30–120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 4500 nits (HDR), offering vibrant colours and deep contrast even in bright daylight.

A standout feature is the Glyph Matrix – a micro-LED display integrated into the phone’s back. Designed to reduce screen dependency, it supports glanceable notifications, real-time app indicators, and contact-based alerts. Glyph Toys expand its use with tools like a stopwatch, solar clock, and even simple games. A public SDK now enables developers to create new features, with several already co-created with the Nothing community.

CEO Carl Pei commented, “Tech has become boring; every phone looks the same, feels the same, does the same. That’s why we took our time. After two years of focused development, Phone (3) is our answer: a flagship built to make tech feel personal again.”

Performance and features designed for creators

Nothing has equipped Phone (3) with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, delivering notable performance improvements over its predecessor. The chipset offers a 36% boost in CPU power, 88% improvement in GPU, 60% faster AI task processing, and 125% better image recognition. Backed by a high-capacity 5150mAh silicon-carbon battery, the device supports 65W wired and 15W wireless charging, offering a full charge in just under an hour.

Designed with content creators in mind, the smartphone features a pro-grade camera system with a 1/1.3-inch main sensor, lossless optical zoom, and 4K 60fps video recording on all lenses. Optical image stabilisation and professional presets, developed in collaboration with photographers, enable users to produce cinematic visuals without requiring advanced technical knowledge.

The new Flip to Record function allows users to capture and transcribe conversations instantly by turning the phone face down, a feature integrated into Essential Space – a productivity hub that uses AI to organise notes and ideas. Other AI-powered features include Essential Search, which provides instant access to apps, contacts, and local information, and a monochrome mode that supports distraction-free navigation.

Phone (3) ships with Android 15 and Nothing OS 3.5, with an upgrade to Android 16 and OS 4.0 expected in the third quarter of 2025. The company also guarantees five years of Android updates and seven years of security updates.

Availability and local retail partners

In Singapore, Phone (3) will be available in black and white, with a 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant priced at S$1,199. Pre-orders begin on 9 July, with open sales starting on 15 July. Customers who purchase during this period will receive complimentary gifts, including the Nothing Ear (a), a Nothing Bottle (1), and a one-year extended warranty.

Local telcos Singtel and M1 will carry the device, alongside online platforms such as Nothing.tech, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. Offline availability includes major electronics retailers such as Challenger, Courts, Gain City, Chamber, and Popular.

Founded in London in 2020, Nothing has built a reputation for creating expressive and design-forward technology products. In just four years, the company has generated over US$1 billion in lifetime revenue and grown a global community of over three million users.
