Singapore FinTech Festival marks 10th anniversary with focus on AI, tokenisation and quantum computing

Singapore FinTech Festival 2025 celebrates its 10th year with a focus on AI, tokenisation and quantum computing from 12 to 14 November.

The Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) will celebrate its 10th anniversary from 12 to 14 November 2025 at the Singapore EXPO, bringing together more than a thousand leaders from finance, technology, and policymaking. Organised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), and Constellar in collaboration with the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS), the festival will explore how emerging technologies can shape the future of the global financial system.

The 2025 edition builds on a decade of growth, with last year’s event attracting 65,000 participants from 134 countries. This year, the central theme is “Shaping the Next Decade of Growth”, with discussions centred on artificial intelligence (AI), tokenisation, and quantum computing.

Exploring next-generation technologies

Over 70 sessions will focus on how financial institutions can harness new technologies to build more secure and inclusive systems. Topics include AI’s role in risk management, regulatory compliance, and financial inclusion, tokenisation’s potential to improve capital market efficiency, and the impact of quantum computing on cybersecurity and encryption standards.

Speakers confirmed for SFF 2025 include Charles Cascarilla, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Paxos; Rafael Echemendia, global cybersecurity expert and Founder of The Ethical Hacker; Tamas Kadar, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SEON; Tomas Skoumal, Chairman and Co-President of Dyna.Ai; Professor Urbasi Sinha, Head of the Quantum Information and Computing Laboratory at the Raman Research Institute; and Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of One97 Communications and Paytm.

Spotlight on changemakers and founders

The programme will highlight industry pioneers whose work has transformed financial services over the past decade. Speakers include Dr Roy Fielding, whose principles on application programmable interface (API) design underpin modern fintech platforms; Nandan Nilekani, who drove India’s digital public infrastructure; Dr Paul Taylor, known for advances in cloud-native banking; Eric Jing, recognised for building super apps; and Dr Agustín Carstens, General Manager of the Bank for International Settlements.

In addition, the festival will feature more than 20 founders from Singapore and across Asia who have navigated challenges and contributed to shaping financial ecosystems. These sessions will reflect on lessons from the past and share perspectives on future growth.

10th anniversary programmes

A series of special events will mark the milestone year. The invite-only Insights Forum will be held on 10 and 11 November at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, convening regulators, policymakers, and business leaders to map priorities for the year ahead.

Other initiatives include the Founders Peak, Capital Meets Policy Dialogue, Investor Hours, and SFF MeetUp to connect innovators, investors, and policymakers. The Innovation Lab Crawl will showcase Singapore’s fintech ecosystem, while the 10th Global FinTech Hackcelerator will spotlight AI-driven early-stage innovators. The festival will also introduce the Global Impact Champions Awards, presented by GFTN, recognising contributions to financial health.

Kenneth Gay, Chief FinTech Officer at MAS, said, “SFF’s 10th anniversary represents a decade of convergence between financial services and technology. This journey mirrors the evolution of FinTech from early digital innovations to today’s AI-driven transformation.”

Sopnendu Mohanty, Group Chief Executive Officer of GFTN, added, “SFF 2025 calls for urgent action to address persistent gaps in global finance and to build the next generation of trusted and inclusive infrastructure powered by AI, quantum computing, and tokenisation.”

Chua Wee Phong, Group Chief Executive Officer of Constellar, noted, “This milestone shows the strength of a whole ecosystem of regulators, start-ups, corporates, investors, academia, and technology pioneers. Each has played a vital role in building SFF into the world’s largest FinTech Festival.”

Registration for SFF 2025 is now open at www.fintechfestival.sg. Complimentary tickets are available for government representatives, policymakers, central banks, academics, students, multilateral agencies, non-profits, and foundations.
