Asus launches TUF Gaming BE9400 tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router

Asus launches the TUF Gaming BE9400, a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router with gaming features and AiMesh support, priced at S$329 from October 2025.

Asus has unveiled its latest Wi-Fi 7 router, the TUF Gaming BE9400, designed to deliver high performance at a competitive price point. The tri-band router offers a maximum data transfer rate of 9,400 Mbps, with dedicated bands for 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz frequencies. The 2.4GHz band supports speeds of up to 688 Mbps, the 5GHz band delivers up to 2,882 Mbps, while the 6GHz band reaches an impressive 5,764 Mbps.

The device features one 2.5G WAN port and three 2.5G LAN ports, providing enhanced wired performance compared to standard Gigabit ports. However, it is worth noting that users with internet plans above 2.5Gbps, such as 3Gbps, 5Gbps, or 10Gbps services, may not be able to utilise their plan speeds fully with this model. The router also features a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port for easy connectivity to printers and storage devices, supporting file and print sharing across the network.

Gaming-focused features

The TUF Gaming BE9400 is equipped with features aimed at gamers, including a dedicated Gaming Port that prioritises traffic to minimise latency. It also offers an Open NAT function to simplify port forwarding, which can often be a challenge for users looking to optimise their network for gaming.

Beyond its gaming capabilities, the router supports Asus’ AiMesh technology, enabling it to connect with other compatible Asus routers to create a seamless mesh Wi-Fi network. This makes the BE9400 suitable not only for gamers but also for households and small offices seeking strong coverage and consistent performance.

Competitive pricing and availability

The standout feature of the TUF Gaming BE9400 is its pricing. Retailing at S$329, the router offers a compelling option for those seeking Wi-Fi 7 capabilities without the premium cost often associated with high-end models. By comparison, the Asus RT-BE88U, another Wi-Fi 7 router from the company, costs S$629. While the RT-BE88U has dual-band connectivity and a 10G port for faster wired connections, the BE9400’s three frequency bands and lower price may appeal to a broader audience.

The Asus TUF Gaming BE9400 will be available for purchase at the end of October 2025.
