ASUS ZenScreen Duo OLED: A portable dual-screen setup for enhanced productivity

ASUS has launched the ZenScreen Duo OLED, a compact and lightweight dual-screen monitor designed for professionals and gamers on the go.

ASUS has unveiled its latest innovation for professionals and gamers who need more screen space on the go. The new ZenScreen Duo OLED (MQ149CD) is a portable dual-screen monitor designed to offer a seamless multi-display experience without the bulk of a traditional setup.

A compact and lightweight dual-screen solution

Taking inspiration from ASUS’ ZenBook Duo, the ZenScreen Duo OLED provides a practical and lightweight solution for those looking to expand their workspace. Weighing just 1.07kg, it folds down to a compact 14-inch size, making it easy to carry in a backpack. Once unfolded, the two OLED panels combine to provide the same screen space as a standard 20-inch display.

Each screen delivers a resolution of 1920×1200 with a 16:10 aspect ratio, ensuring crisp visuals and an extended vertical workspace. OLED technology offers deep blacks, vibrant colours, and excellent contrast. ASUS also confirms HDR support and a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, ensuring accurate colour reproduction for creative professionals. Additionally, with a Delta E<2 rating, the monitor promises precise colour accuracy, making it ideal for designers and photographers.

Versatile modes for different tasks

The ZenScreen Duo OLED is designed to adapt to various tasks and working styles. One of its key features is Tent Mode, which allows you to set it up in a dual-direction display configuration—perfect for presentations or collaborative work. Additionally, ASUS offers several viewing modes, including Split, Extended, Independent, and Mirror Mode. Split Mode is beneficial for coding or reading, as it transforms the device into a portrait-style display, allowing you to view more content at once without constant scrolling.

Connectivity is another highlight of the ZenScreen Duo OLED. It features two USB-C ports and a Mini HDMI port, ensuring compatibility with various devices. Whether you need to connect it to a laptop, mobile device, or gaming console, the monitor offers flexibility for different needs. And for gamers, the good news is that you can even connect it to a Nintendo Switch, making it the perfect travel companion for entertainment on the go.

Price and availability

ASUS has confirmed that the ZenScreen Duo OLED will be available in mid-March at a retail price of S$799. Its lightweight design, high-quality OLED panels, and multiple usage modes offer a compelling option for professionals and gamers looking to expand their screen space while moving.
