LG expands its gaming portal to more screens in 2025

LG is expanding its Gaming Portal to more screens in 2025, offering seamless access to cloud and webOS games across Smart TVs, monitors, and StanbyME screens.

LG Electronics is set to expand its Gaming Portal across more devices and markets in 2025, making gaming more accessible to users worldwide. Currently available on LG Smart TVs running webOS 23 and above in 19 markets, the service will soon extend to additional countries, LG Smart Monitors, and the StanbyME lifestyle screens by the second quarter of the year. This expansion aims to enhance the game streaming experience by providing seamless access to a wide range of popular and new titles.

A central hub for gaming

The Gaming Portal serves as a one-stop destination for discovering and playing games without the need for additional hardware. Partnering with leading cloud gaming services such as NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna, Boosteroid, Blacknut, and soon Xbox Cloud Gaming, LG provides an extensive selection of games across multiple genres. The platform also offers native webOS games, ensuring a variety of options for casual and hardcore gamers alike.

Easily accessible from the Home Screen, the Gaming Portal features an intuitive interface that allows users to browse and play games effortlessly. Gamers can explore cloud gaming apps, webOS titles playable with the TV’s remote control, and lists of trending and recently played games. Personalised recommendations, editor’s picks, and a top 10 trending games section further enhance the experience.

To simplify access, the Gaming Portal offers two main play modes: “Play with Remote Control” and “Play with Game Pad,” allowing users to select their preferred input method without needing to search through individual game settings.

Personalised gaming experience

For a more tailored experience, the My Page section acts as a central hub where players can track achievements, earn badges, and monitor their progress. Gamers receive a detailed overview of their points, levels, and tier upgrades based on their activity within the Gaming Portal. Additionally, the My Games menu enables users to curate a personalised list of their favourite titles, ensuring easy access to the games they enjoy most.

Beyond cloud gaming, LG TVs support a high-performance gaming experience for PC and console users. With 4K at 120Hz variable refresh rate (VRR), these TVs deliver smooth, tear-free gameplay. They are also NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium certified, offering reduced screen tearing and input lag.

Taking it a step further, LG’s latest OLED evo TVs are the first in the industry to feature 4K 165Hz VRR, setting a new benchmark for high-speed gaming. They have also received ClearMR 10000 certification from VESA, ensuring sharp and clear motion for fast-paced action games.

A step forward in gaming accessibility

With the Gaming Portal expansion, LG continues its commitment to delivering a high-quality gaming experience on its webOS-powered screens. By providing a broad selection of games, an intuitive interface, and advanced gaming technology, LG aims to make gaming more versatile and engaging for all players.
