Dell launches first wireless earbuds with AI noise suppression

Dell has launched its first wireless earbuds, the Pro Plus EB525, which feature AI noise suppression, adaptive ANC, and enterprise integration.

Dell has introduced its first wireless earbuds explicitly designed for productivity. The new Dell Pro Plus Earbuds (EB525) were launched this week, aiming to deliver crystal-clear audio for business users by reducing background noise and improving call quality.

Features designed for the workplace

The EB525 is not intended as a casual music accessory, but as a professional tool for hybrid and remote working. One of the key features is an AI-powered microphone system that Dell says has been trained on “hundreds of millions” of real-world sound samples to separate speech from unwanted background noise.

The earbuds also feature adaptive active noise cancelling (ANC) technology that automatically adjusts to the user’s environment, whether in an open office, café, or at home. In addition, they carry certifications for Microsoft Teams (Open Office) and Zoom, which ensures greater reliability and compatibility during online meetings.

Dell has also focused on connectivity. The EB525 can pair with up to eight devices and maintain two active connections simultaneously. Battery life is rated at up to five hours of talk time with ANC switched on, extending to around 16.5 hours when using the charging case. A five-minute quick charge can provide roughly one hour of use.

Durability has also been considered. The earbuds are IP54 rated for dust and splash resistance and come with four different ear tip sizes to suit a wider range of users.

Another feature aimed at enterprise customers is the integration with Dell’s Display & Peripheral Manager software. This allows IT teams and end-users to centrally manage firmware updates, audio settings, and device policies, helping businesses maintain consistency across their technology setups.

A growing market for work-ready audio

Dell’s move into earbuds reflects a wider trend among hardware companies to expand beyond traditional product categories such as laptops, monitors, and speakers. As hybrid work continues to reshape the modern office, high-quality audio tools have become increasingly essential for remote collaboration.

Competitors have already made similar moves. HP entered the space through its acquisition of Poly, while consumer audio brands such as Apple, Bose, and Sony remain strong in the personal market. Dell is positioning the EB525 in between these categories, offering enterprise integration alongside user-focused features.

For businesses already reliant on Dell infrastructure, the earbuds may help streamline device management and reduce compatibility issues. By aligning the EB525 with its wider ecosystem, Dell is presenting the earbuds as part of a unified professional toolkit.

Price and availability

The Dell Pro Plus Earbuds EB525 are available now online for S$228.18. By combining AI noise suppression, adaptive ANC, and enterprise-level management, Dell is pitching the earbuds as essential tools for modern working environments rather than just another set of wireless headphones.
