Dell unveils new Latitude series with cutting-edge AI and Meteor Lake processors

Discover Dell's latest Latitude series with advanced AI, Meteor Lake processors, and premium designs, set to revolutionise the workspace.

In a significant technological leap, Dell has revamped its Latitude notebook series with advanced features, including Intel’s Meteor Lake processors, a Copilot button for easier access to Microsoft’s AI assistant, and more, catering to the needs of modern professionals.

Embracing AI with Intel’s Meteor Lake

The newest Latitude notebooks are now powered by Intel’s Meteor Lake processors, boasting a neural processing unit (NPU) that significantly enhances AI capabilities. These devices, especially the Latitude 7000 series, come equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors and an integrated package featuring a CPU, GPU, and the Intel Meteor Lake-enabled NPU. This integration promises to support over 100 AI-optimised apps and more than 300 AI-based experiences, from collaboration tools to enhanced security measures.

In practical terms, AI workloads can be distributed across the CPU, GPU, and NPU, optimising device performance and extending battery life. For instance, a three-hour Teams call on a Latitude with an NPU can yield 23 minutes of battery life.

Premium design and performance

The Latitude 7000 series, offering 13-inch, 14-inch, and 16-inch models, along with 2-in-1 options and ultralight variants, caters to a range of professional needs. The ultralight models, the Latitude 7350 and 7450, weigh just 0.98kg and 1.05kg, respectively, making them perfect for those always on the move. These models have 5MP webcams, top-firing speakers, and a Dell Collaboration Touchpad, ensuring high-quality communication and collaboration.

The Latitude 7350 Detachable offers versatility with its Surface-like form factor, optional detachable keyboard and pen, and advanced thermal solutions for enhanced performance. Its 8MP cameras, user-facing camera with HDR technology, and features like Windows Studio Effects for eye gaze correction and background blurring make it a standout choice.

Sustainability and future-proofing

Dell’s commitment to sustainability is evident in the new Latitude laptops, which include 50% recycled cobalt in batteries and a 90% recycled magnesium chassis in the Latitude 7350 Detachable. The Latitude 9450 2-in-1, dubbed “the ultimate in collaboration and connectivity”, features a haptic touchpad, QHD+ Infinity Edge display, HDR webcam, and Wi-Fi 7 support, highlighting Dell’s focus on future-proofing their devices.

While pricing details are yet to be confirmed, the Latitude series is expected to be available in Singapore from March 13, with the Latitude 7350 Detachable following on April 2.

In conclusion, Dell’s latest Latitude series marks a significant step forward in integrating AI and advanced technology into the professional workspace, offering powerful, sustainable, and versatile devices for the modern workforce.
