Guidde uses AI to simplify software training videos

Guidde uses AI to simplify corporate training videos, making them faster, more engaging, and cost-effective. The startup just secured US$15M in funding.

Creating software training videos can be long and expensive, especially for companies with multiple software tools. While these videos help employees learn new systems, they often require an entire team to produce, making them a costly investment.

Tel Aviv-based entrepreneur Yoav Einav saw an opportunity to change this. In 2020, he co-founded Guidde with his friend Dan Sahar to make software training videos faster, easier, and more affordable. Using AI, Guidde automatically creates training videos that teach users how to navigate different applications.

Guidde works by recording a user’s in-app activity and turning it into a video with a clear storyline. The platform can generate an AI-powered voiceover in various languages, add background music, and highlight the software’s key features. It also includes simple editing tools, allowing users to adjust motion transitions, frame timing, and cropping to refine their videos.

One common concern is whether employees watch training videos. A 2019 Kaltura survey found that 67% of employees only skim training videos or listen to them while multitasking. According to Einav, training videos are often low quality and difficult to find within company systems.

To address this, Guidde recently introduced a feature called Guidde Broadcast. This tool delivers personalised training content to employees within their workflow, making engaging with relevant learning materials easier. Einav describes it as a “Netflix for organisations,” ensuring that employees receive training at the right time in a more accessible format.

Growth and investment

Guidde’s AI-driven approach appears to be paying off. The company has seen its revenue grow four times in the past year, with its platform now serving more than 100,000 users across 2,000 organisations. Notable customers include American Eagle Outfitters, Carta, and Nasdaq.

Guidde secured US$15 million in new funding in February, led by Qualcomm Ventures. This brings the company’s total investment to US$30 million. The new funding will help expand Guidde’s localisation tools, enterprise sales, and customer support teams and strengthen its global presence.

Einav remains optimistic about the future, emphasising the importance of combining AI and video-based content for corporate training. “We have taken a careful and strategic approach to managing our finances, which has worked well for us,” he said. “We believe the future lies in seamlessly integrating AI-driven, video-first training content. We aim to set the standard for intelligent, immersive learning experiences.”

With continued growth and firm investor backing, Guidde is positioning itself as a leader in AI-powered corporate training solutions.
