Announced by Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information Tan Kiat How at ATxEnterprise 2026, the measures include the inaugural SME AI Impact Awards 2026, new partnerships under the Digital Enterprise Blueprint, an AI adoption playbook for digital leaders, the global launch of Sonar’s AI remediation agent, and a quantum-safe infrastructure pilot involving Singtel, Ericsson and NCS Singapore.
The initiatives come as more enterprises adopt AI while managing technical barriers, operational complexity and cybersecurity exposure. The release cited that more than eight in 10 organisations experienced at least one cybersecurity incident annually, underscoring the pressure on businesses to strengthen digital resilience alongside AI adoption.
SME awards aim to recognise measurable AI outcomes
IMDA and the Singapore Business Federation will jointly launch the inaugural SME AI Impact Awards 2026 under the National AI Impact Programme and in support of the National AI Strategy.
The awards will recognise up to 30 SMEs that have achieved measurable business outcomes through AI. Two categories will be available: the SME Innovation Excellence Award, for enterprises developing proprietary AI tools, and the SME Adoption Excellence Award, for enterprises implementing ready-to-use or off-the-shelf AI solutions.
Winners will receive the SME AI Impact Award Trustmark. Nominations will open from 1 June to 14 August 2026, with winners to be recognised at SMEs Go Digital Day on 13 October 2026 at Suntec Convention Centre.
The awards follow a rise in AI adoption across Singapore enterprises. According to IMDA’s Singapore Digital Economy Report 2025, AI adoption among SMEs rose from 4.2% to 14.5% in one year, while adoption among non-SMEs increased from 44% to 62.5% in 2024.
Grab and RSM join Digital Enterprise Blueprint partnerships
IMDA is also expanding the Digital Enterprise Blueprint through two partnerships with Grab and RSM Stone Forest IT. The partnerships are intended to give SMEs practical support in AI adoption and cybersecurity.
Grab will launch the Grab AI Programme for SMEs with IMDA, targeting 10,000 food and beverage, e-commerce and retail SMEs. The programme includes free online training videos, complimentary masterclasses and webinars, and a structured two-day AI course co-developed with the Singapore University of Technology and Design. The course is designed to help SMEs understand AI’s business value, build a practical AI roadmap, and gain hands-on experience with IMDA pre-approved AI solutions relevant to their sectors.
RSM will introduce the RSM Cyber2SME Programme, offering complimentary phishing simulation exercises to 2,000 SMEs to help identify organisational vulnerabilities and strengthen cyber defences. Up to 1,000 SMEs will also receive access to cybersecurity awareness webinars and tabletop exercises covering cyber risks, AI and data threats, and incident response.

The Digital Enterprise Blueprint has supported more than 26,000 SMEs since its launch in May 2024. With the Grab and RSM partnerships, IMDA aims to reach 12,000 additional SMEs as part of its target to support 50,000 SMEs by 2029.
Playbook and software tools target enterprise deployment
For digitally progressive enterprises, IMDA, SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore have developed the AI for Enterprise Impact Playbook. The playbook provides a structured guide to help enterprises assess AI readiness, identify relevant support, and determine next steps in their AI adoption journey.
Built on insights from more than 1,000 enterprise engagements, the playbook consolidates government programmes and resources from IMDA, Enterprise Singapore, SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore into a single framework.
Sonar will also globally launch its SonarQube Remediation Agent in Singapore. Co-developed with engineers from IMDA and Singapore, the AI remediation agent enables engineering teams to automatically fix code issues and scan each fix before deployment. The tool targets organisations adopting AI-assisted software development while managing security and code quality risks.
Singapore is also moving ahead with quantum-safe infrastructure work. IMDA has signed a Memorandum of Intent with Singtel, Ericsson and NCS Singapore to pilot and validate quantum-safe technologies for migrating Singtel’s infrastructure and systems. Lessons from the collaboration will be shared with the broader telco ecosystem to support wider adoption.
