Logitech introduces the G915 X Lightspeed gaming keyboard with upgraded features

Logitech launches the G915 X Lightspeed gaming keyboard, offering upgrades, enhanced battery life, and three variants.

Logitech has officially introduced the G915 X Lightspeed, the latest version of its popular gaming keyboard. This new low-profile keyboard is 23mm high and boasts several enhancements compared to its predecessor.

Enhanced build quality

One of the significant improvements in the G915 X is its build quality. The thickness of the aluminium top plate has increased from 1.2mm to 1.5mm, which enhances the keyboard’s structural strength and contributes to a more satisfying typing experience.

Additionally, Logitech has redesigned the switches on this new model. The G915 X now features a polyoxymethylene (POM) cross-style stem, replacing the previous hook-style stem. This modification will enhance key stability, resulting in a quieter typing experience. You’ll notice that the actuation point has also been adjusted, dropping from 1.5mm to 1.3mm. This reduction means a quicker key response, allowing you to react faster during intense gaming sessions.

Versatile connectivity and improved battery life

In terms of connectivity, the G915 X is equipped with Logitech’s Lightspeed wireless technology, Bluetooth, and USB-C connectivity. This versatility ensures that you can connect your keyboard in the way that suits you best, whether you prefer a wired or wireless setup.

Battery life has also seen notable improvements without sacrificing performance. According to Logitech, the full-sized version of the G915 X offers an impressive 800 hours of use with the backlighting switched off. If you prefer to use the keyboard with backlighting at full brightness, it will provide up to 36 hours of continuous use in Lightspeed mode. The Tenkeyless (TKL) version offers even better battery life, lasting up to 1000 hours without lighting and 42 hours with the backlighting at maximum brightness.

Unique features and availability

The G915 X series comes packed with additional features that enhance its usability. One standout feature is KeyControl, which allows you to turn any key into a macro. This is particularly useful for gamers who require quick access to specific commands during gameplay. The keyboard also includes double-shot shine-through PBT keycaps, which improve durability and resistance to the wear and tear that comes with daily use.

You can now purchase the G915 X series in Full-Sized, TKL, and Wired variants. These keyboards are available at various online retailers, including official shopfronts on Shopee and Lazada and directly from the Logitech online store. Whether casual or professional, the G915 X Lightspeed offers the performance and features you need for an exceptional gaming experience.
