Malaysia to host road and traffic technology events in November

Malaysia will host My-ARTTE 2025 and MRMC in November, highlighting innovation in road safety, maintenance, and traffic technology.

Malaysia is set to host two major events focused on road infrastructure and traffic technology in November 2025. The MyAsean Roads and Traffic Tech Expo (My-ARTTE) 2025 and the Malaysian Road Maintenance Convention (MRMC) will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and experts to discuss the future of road systems and showcase the latest innovations in traffic management.

Major events to be held at Mitec

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi announced that My-ARTTE will take place over three days, from 3 to 5 November, while MRMC will be held on 3 November at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Kuala Lumpur. The convention is expected to attract a wide range of participants, including engineers, contractors and road owners.

The MRMC will serve as a platform to address issues related to road infrastructure, safety and maintenance in Malaysia. Speaking at the launch event, Nanta emphasised the importance of these gatherings in strengthening cooperation between the government, private sector and the public. His remarks were delivered on his behalf by Works Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Azman Ibrahim.

“It will also highlight Malaysia’s roadmap for building world-class road infrastructure, as outlined in the Highway Network Development Plan,” Nanta said.

Showcasing innovation in traffic management

My-ARTTE 2025 will focus on emerging technologies and smart solutions designed to improve road systems. The expo will feature cutting-edge innovations, including artificial intelligence, robotics, drones, the Internet of Things, and advanced traffic management systems. These technologies are expected to play a significant role in shaping Malaysia’s transportation future.

Nanta said that the integration of these solutions will enable early detection of road damage, improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and lower carbon emissions. He added that Malaysia aims to position itself as a leading hub for road and traffic technology in Asia, with these events reinforcing that ambition.

A step towards smarter and safer roads

Both MRMC and My-ARTTE are part of Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to modernise its road infrastructure. By gathering industry stakeholders and showcasing advanced technology, the events are expected to drive innovation, improve road safety, and promote sustainable solutions.

The Highway Network Development Plan will be a central topic of discussion, serving as a blueprint for building world-class infrastructure in the years to come. With participation from government bodies, industry experts and international players, Malaysia aims to strengthen its role as a leader in transportation and road technology across the region.
