Medow Health AI brings clinician-focused AI scribe to Singapore

Medow Health AI launches in Singapore with its real-time AI scribe to help doctors reduce admin tasks and improve clinical documentation.

Australian healthtech company Medow Health AI has officially launched its AI-powered scribe in Singapore, aimed at helping medical specialists reduce administrative work and improve the quality of care. The platform, already in use across 500 clinics and hospitals in Australia, is designed to generate clinical notes, reports, and referral letters in real time during consultations. With this launch, Medow enters the Southeast Asian market amid Singapore’s broader push for digital health transformation to ease pressure on healthcare institutions and promote sustainable care.

Unlike many AI healthcare tools created for patients—such as chatbots, symptom checkers or wellness apps—Medow is built specifically for doctors. Its AI models are trained to understand medical terminology and nuances across different specialties, enabling accurate and structured documentation that matches clinical expectations. The platform includes specialty-specific templates, customisable note formats, and phrasing tailored to different disciplines, reducing the need for manual editing.

Medow’s platform integrates easily with existing workflows and comes with high-touch onboarding and dedicated support. This includes help with workflow setup and regular feature updates based on user feedback. The company has adapted the tool for Singapore by adding multilingual capabilities and ensuring alignment with local clinical practices.

Multilingual support for diverse patient needs

To meet the needs of Singapore’s diverse population, Medow supports transcription in Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, and Bahasa Indonesia. These languages are commonly spoken among older patients or individuals who travel to Singapore for medical treatment. While English is the primary language used in most consultations, the added language support reflects the multilingual reality of care delivery in the country. Additional languages such as Arabic and German can also be enabled upon request.

“We’re continuously improving our transcription models and plan to support more community languages like Tamil and Hindi in future updates,” said Clement Tan, Singapore Country Lead at Medow Health AI. “Our goal is to reflect the way care is actually delivered, in every accent, tongue, and dialect.”

Singapore was chosen as the company’s first Southeast Asian market due to its advanced digital infrastructure, established regulatory environment, and active community of medical specialists. “Singapore has a thriving ecosystem of medical specialists and attracts patients from across the region,” Tan said. “Doctors here are curious about innovation and open to using technology that improves how they work. While many companies prioritise the US or Europe, we see immense opportunity here in Southeast Asia, starting with Singapore.”

Growing adoption and strong privacy safeguards

Since the launch, 25 clinics in Singapore have already adopted Medow’s AI scribe. Early users have reported noticeable time savings, better documentation quality, and seamless integration into their daily routines. Based on previous growth patterns in Australia and New Zealand, Medow expects adoption in Singapore to follow a similar trajectory.

“The early phase is about trust and education, but once doctors see how Medow works in practice, growth accelerates. We’re just getting started,” Tan added.

As part of its localisation efforts, the company has prioritised compliance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Patient data is stored locally on encrypted Microsoft Azure servers and remains fully under the control of each doctor. Consent is incorporated into the consultation workflow, and no data is shared, sold, or used to train external AI models.

“Trust and safety are non-negotiable in healthcare,” said Tan. “We’ve built Medow with privacy by design.”

Looking ahead, Medow is exploring partnerships with healthcare providers, clinic groups, and professional bodies to expand access to its platform and support broader adoption across the country. The company aims to play a role in reducing clinician burnout and supporting better patient outcomes through practical, purpose-built AI tools.
