Docusign has introduced a new range of artificial intelligence-powered agreement management solutions at its Momentum 25 event in Singapore, marking their first showcase in Asia. The announcement highlights the company’s plans to accelerate contract processes and improve business outcomes across the Asia-Pacific region.
Expanding AI capabilities in agreement management
The latest tools, including AI Contract Agents, are built on Docusign Iris, the company’s AI engine designed specifically for agreements. Drawing on over two decades of contract expertise, Iris applies advanced AI models across the entire agreement lifecycle, from drafting to review, to make processes faster, more accurate, and easier to manage. It supports multiple languages and is already available in all English-speaking countries in the region, including Singapore.
The AI Contract Agents, set to launch in Singapore in 2026, automate time-consuming tasks such as vendor risk assessments, contract term checks, and the identification of outdated clauses, completing these in minutes rather than days. Allan Thygesen, Chief Executive Officer at Docusign, said, “With Docusign Iris and our new AI Contract Agents, we’re empowering businesses across Asia-Pacific to achieve measurable improvements—from faster deal cycles to stronger compliance and enhanced customer experiences.”
The case for modernising contract processes
Research by Docusign and Deloitte estimates that inefficient agreement processes cost organisations around the world US$2 trillion in lost value each year, with Asia Pacific accounting for approximately US$600 billion. The Optimising Agreement Management report found that 77% of high-performing organisations credit effective agreement management as a driver of success in core business areas. AI-enabled agreement tools were shown to reduce sales delays by 29%, cut compliance risks by 21%, and save 21% of procurement time.
Despite Singapore leading the region in digital trust, the report found it lags behind markets such as Japan and Australia in AI-driven contract creation maturity. Kartik Krishnamurthy, Vice President, Asia at Docusign, noted that this gap presents an opportunity for Singaporean businesses to accelerate automation and improve early-stage workflows to stay competitive.
New tools to enhance speed, accuracy and transparency
Docusign also announced several upcoming features powered by Iris. Agreement Desk, launching in April 2026, will provide a centralised collaboration hub for contract requests, integrated with AI-Assisted Review for faster negotiations. Workspaces, available from December 2025, will offer a secure, all-in-one platform for managing complex, multi-step agreements. Enhancements to the Navigator tool, now available for all English-speaking countries, will deliver advanced contract insights, notifications, and reporting capabilities. Future updates will allow businesses to define custom contract terms for even greater flexibility.
These developments reflect Docusign’s aim to support businesses in streamlining agreement processes, improving compliance, and building stronger relationships, while enabling organisations across the region to meet global standards in AI-driven contract creation and security.
